The " Hiper-Active " Club

had one for a good few months now and it's still fine......

That's because t is still in the box as I've not the nerve to take it out. I'm still in two minds as to whether to install it or not. :confused:
 
I'm in the "Over 12 months club". Just the last week the fans are making a "catching" noise, so I'm going to strip it and replace the fans.

I've had mine about 14 months. it's not blown up but it is clicking when the computer is turned off. It's making me nervous and combined with the horror stories i've decided I won't risk club membership. Corsair 620W waiting to go in any day.

If you've got a Corsair then for goodness sake fit it. It's a better PSU.
 
I'm in with my 13 month old Hiper Type-R 480w

and yes I had a Qtec 550w before which I got shot of before it blew! :D
 
had my type r red one for near one 15 months + i reckon been in 2 rigs now.

used and abused its currently in a antec 900 gaming case running all fans including the 2 extra you can buy for it.

2 sata hdd,
1 x1950xtx
2 dvd drives

and i still have my lunch box that came with it full of all the left bits from my other pc builds, id buy another tbh
 
Mine is the 580w blue one. Had it since feb last year.

Its run;
opteron @ 2.8ghz 1.45v
X1900XT @ 655/765 (if it can run this its damn good).
2 gig ram @ 233mhz

Only thing is one of the fans has started to rattle a little inside so I have to tilt the case up a bit lol.

Will be getting a 620w corsair for my new conroe 8800 rig.
 
12 months and nae bother with my type r 580 blue in sig.CUE EXPLOSION :D
This was my first decent psu,during build i think i just sat there gawking at it,looked so nice didn`t want to put it in pc lol.
 
Can these things really explode??

I recently re-engined my Packard Bell P.O.S. with one of these after reading good reviews, my only real complaint so far being that PB's cut down case doesn't allow enough space to properly fit the screw in connectors. Following advice in another thread I'm planning to ditch the PB case and mobo shortly anyway but thus far had no problems with the power output.

At least it delivers enough power unlike the weedy 250 watt FSU unit fitted as standard and my X52 LED's aren't flashing on and off like a Xmas tree when I open IE7 (as happened with the old PSU).
 
Had mine 16 months now and still going strong(touches wood), but it is going to be retired in a few weeks when I order another rig :)

Add me to the owners list, although not sure if I can say I am a proud owner :p

Watch the fan on that, one in spare pc was about 18months old when 120mm fan siezed up suddenly with no warning. :eek: Good job i was in the room or i'd have come back to one very dead pc no dought. :) The rails were still producing so decided to open up PSU (dont try this at home kids, shock warning!), removed duff fan which was totally worn out (and very cheap looking i might add). Replaced with Akasa 120mm Amber, worked a charm and job done. :D
