The Hunter

I got my first kill last night after about 30 minutes of play. I was about to give up but then I heard something make a noise. I tracked it for a bit and eventually when I was prone it walked righting into me (not literally), so naturally I shot it in the face.
 
my mate kill like 4 or 5 stags every time we go on :mad:

all i get at moment is bloody turkeys :p

4th on leaderboard for range though with turkeys :D
 
For those who have been playing this for a bit, do you think you'll be playing this in the long term?

I only peeked into this thread yesterday, and the game is quite tempting, what with all the comparing kills and stuff. But it also seems like you could get bored with it in under a week.

Also are there any cheaters?
 
if you play to compete with people like biggest this or that the its very good.

i play with clan mates on ts with 5 ot 6 hunting at same time.

or if you like to have something to relax to if not fancying some say cod 4 action then it ticks that box too.

there are numerous changes in the pipeline which if you read the forums over at the hunter youll see that this game is going to be massive.

its going multiplayer in future , vehicles,larger island opening up which is gigantic!

numerous animals (200 stated as working now)

weather conditions/ seasons

competitions

night hunting /night vision

dogs for hunting game birds

the list goes on and on.

there releasing things slowly and making things work correctly though which is nice to see care being taken and can only be a good thing after recent handling of some big games and errors playability issues.

also in paid version you get better guns and steadier if you ask me.

pistol is awesome

camo gear and other little bits and bobs.

its slowly gaining motion and in few months will be a monster of a game.

at end of day if not sure just sign up for a three month pass its like 8.88 for three months and there wa a offer of a free month if sign up straight away.

so basically two or three quid a month which is nothing for a great game.

well updates are now on and there are new items and a new species :cool:

wont spoil it all go update and see :p

some nice changes and well worth it.
 
Had a wicked hunt last night! Headed down the east coast and heard a whitetail, tracked him and waited, as he walked toward me I heard an elk behind me. Turned back for the whitetail and spotted another elk and three more bucks!! Took what I deemed to be the highest scoring buck :D (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsINGHOm95U - loads of critters! check out the last few seconds before the kill, one of the smaller stags walks right across the shot only 6 feet in front of me :D)

Then I tracked the elk that had run away down to the coast and shot it as it tried to escape :) It spotted me and bolted but I shot him in the arse :D Good job I'd practiced on the range so I knew to aim to the right, that 30.06 is a doooozy.
I thought I might have missed so stopped recording, then found blood and spotted the body a few hundred feet on :D

yeah its normal.

really loving the elk at the moment but you must use the big gun or they just laugh at you.

think im 5th on turkey for range my clan mate is first for score i think.few of the others are in top ten for other things.

getting very competitive on ts now lol
 
theres a free version which has a lot of the stuff

then theres paid version which starts from a three month license for 8.88 or 12.99 dollars .

so about 3 quid a month which is very good.



also for people with the new gun you can fit a sniper scope to it as i found out last night

That is a lot of elk :D Whats your ingame name if you dont mind a friend request :)

Also, it looks like you had some potentially very high scorers in that group, go for the biggest and tallest antlers :) Weight is inconsequential.

thing was yesterday i kept shooting them with sniper and they just ran off :D

but with no scope on the other new rifke i wanted to make sure.

the one i killed was closest.

that 1000 one had enormous antlers
