The Hunter

This is an amazing free game :|.. Still yet to kill anything, but just been reading through the thread feel a bit more confident now :).. If only we could see eachother hunting online

just some quick questions..

The bar at the top of your huntermate.. What does it mean? I keep getting 2 blue bars then 1 green. Does this mean i'm getting close?

Where does it tell u the wind direction? So you can tell if you are easily smelt?

thanks,

The blue/green bars are the ambient background noise levels, wind etc, not including your own sounds or animals but it does pick up their calls.

The idea is to give you an idea of how loud you can be. One or two bars you want to be pretty quiet, goes into the green you can probably walk, possibly run and when it rains and goes up into the yellow you can run around like a loon! :D

Rain also makes you harder to spot and helps cover your smell.

As for wind direction when you buy a license one of the items you get is a can of smoke that squirts a little blast of smoke and then blows away in the wind. Not sure if you can easily tell which way the wind is going without this but some say you can tell by the grass and falling leaves.

Ah, thanks very much I thought it was the other way round.. which explains why i can't see anything!

Am i the only one who feels bad when you kill one.

I just shot one and it was trying to get away, limping along. I chased but couldn't get a shot off.

He eventually slowed down enough for me to shoot again.

Feels well bad watching then trying to get away :(

Had this happen right at the start of a hunt last night! Couldn't believe it.
Didn't shot any of them, just spent ages tracking them to build up my stats and hope that they'd attract or find some males for me.

Oh and I added the boxes to highlight them, it ain't some kind of hack lol :P

I am going to give this a game a good this weekend. I would like the posters who made this thread which got me to download the game. The graphics are just amazing. Runs like a dream aswell.
