The Intel Quadcore Database

W3bbo i thought i run for a full 24 hours at 4.2 to show its easy

i will stick in a cpu-z validation thingy too can be checked up on too.

do you want me to show the temps of the vapochill from the chill control software ?

photo of the machine ? any other requests ?

Well with phase change it should be. 4.2 on phase is = 3.7 on water tbh;).

I knew that one was comming :D

This chip hit 3.6 on the stock intel heatsink fan combo at 1.44 volts

the only reason i dont post faster is my Ram is erm bad

keep meaning to get some better stuff tho maybe one day after the dual 3870x2 arrive bigger tft ect argh i think you know the rest of this storie.

o.k home from work

just thought i,d post up this (will let it run the till 12 tonight so its a full 24 hours)
GA X38 DS6
reseated hp assembly delta 120mm case fan @ 9v
Modded Vapochill LS
As 5
Q6600 G0 dunno the rest will look it up next clean up!
1.55V in bios 1.524v under load
9 x 467.2
geil 6400 (weak link) is stopping me post faster !!!! (suppose i should get better stuff)

Any good W3bbo ?

N1, would expect to see more on phase tho - sort it out! ;).

You need to give me all the info (read the 1st post in thread!) so I can enter it into the DB m8.

CPU Q6000
Revison GO
FPO# Dunno i will look it up next time i clean the mobo
Clockspeed 4210mhz 9x 467mhz
Vcore (under load in windows) 1.524 bios 1.55v
Vid (core temp) 1.2875
Motherboard Gigabyte GA X38 DS6 F8 bios
Cooling Vapochill Ls modded (older 240w version)
Thermal paste used AS5 for evap head 120mm delta FF @9v cooling a reseated HP array (makes better contact).
CPU Temp Minus 34.8 degrees on each core

As for going faster next payday some nice fast ram will be ordered and i will get around to water cooling the chipset (ive had all the stuff to do it lying in drawer for ages pump blocks rad ect)

then i push to give you a better view of phase sir !!!!!!

4.5 o.k ?

you'll need more than good ram to hit 4.6GHz!!!

For 4.5Ghz+ you'll need to run 1.7 vcore minimum - PLL 1.9v (chip killing territory) - NB 1.85v (good chipset cooling is a must, will need to volt mod your mb anyway).

Thats for a Q6600 with a lower VID than yours, so expect to run very slightly higher voltages than that. You will see crazy temps on a single stage!

Good luck :)

L745A817
Shin Etsu MicroSI
1.58Vcore under load
