Question, how does the wireless syncing work? cant seem to find it anywhere, or is it not enabled yet?

It's in the menu in iTunes, requires the phone to be connected once to enable the menu.

It's beta iTunes. Beta is not meant to be used in a production environment. You should have done it in a VMware box or another system. I suggest you backup your iTunes folder in 'Music'.

managed to uninstall then reinstall and get itunes working, im just a bit dubious about doing this restore to ios5
where do i stand if i get error message during restore ?

The only reason you would get errors if you have done anything using tools like Sn0wbreeze, Ultrasn0w, RedSn0w e.t.c.

There is no reason what so ever to get problems if all you have done is left it alone and used iTunes as needed (not beta e.t.c).

You must have one screwed up PC. Maybe that's why your getting the errors! Have you got another PC you can use just?

no just this pc, its only itunes that i seem to have issues with
ill give it another shot in a bit.
this GM, this is the version that is comming on wednesday yes ? exact same version, is all the bits enabled ? if not, how will they become enabled ?

Just trying to talk my mate through this. Does he need the 10.7.2 and icloud downloads for his mac or will just the itunes update be enough for installing ios5?

As far as I know this version (GM) will be the public release. I can't promise but this is how it's been in the past.

As far as I know this version (GM) will be the public release. I can't promise but this is how it's been in the past.

but come wednesday, if i check for updates if there is anything different itunes should let me know yes ?

Itunes / iOS 5 as updates can now be done on the phone itself under software updates. You will get a popup on update available.

EDIT: I am loving WiFi sync! It's a dream with WiFi N Networking.

Your welcome. I try to bring the files to the community as fast as possible. It was over 9GB uploads but I did it on a very fast network :roll eyes:

with icloud, can you share whats on your computer with devices ?
ie a folder with pics on my computer ? like idisk

also, findmyfriends, is that only on 4s ? or will it be available on launch day in the app store
