The iOS11 Thread

Don't like the split screen changes, way more hassle if you want to add app that is not on the dock.

Agreed. I miss not being able to swipe down on the side panel to scroll between apps. Dismissing the side app is a bit more annoying too, given that you have to swipe from the top of the side panel and not by simply touching anywhere in the main app window.

Anyone notice that in landscape the keyboard now looks a lot smaller?? :/. It’s really annoyed my missus at the moment. Doesn’t bother me as I don’t type in landscape as it is but pre ios11 it was fine, now you have big gaps on both sides of the keyboard.

I don’t like how the music is displayed. When streaming Spotify on my car, the phone screen had a big picture of the artist and song playing. Now it’s some stupid grey box with a little picture of the artist :/.

So far that’s my only gripe.

Been running it less than 24 hours on my 7+ and noticing stutter and poor battery life. My phone used 40% whilst I've been at work where it's been locked and left in the car.

My iPad Pro 10.5 actually feels more like a pro model now it's got the dock, improved control centre, improved multi-tasking and general optimisations. Just the wait for all of the apps to be updating now.

Well for the first time in months my 6s died at work. I usually come home with ~30% battery remaining. Not looking good.

The update absolutely kills your battery during and for a bit after upgrade - then once all the background stuff has finished it normalises out again.

Got a problem with the App Store on my iPad after the iOS11 update. When I open it it just keeps refreshing itself and then eventually crashes and won't connect any more. This is on any page of the store (search, updates, whatever).
Any ideas? Tried a reboot. Tried signing out and back in again.

That’s a problem with the battery then as my 6P outpaces my iPhone 7 in terms of battery with a newly replaced battery by Huawei
I have no doubt its the battery but it was more efficient on nougat than Oreo now.

For the first time I'm out using my 6P for the 6S in every day usage not just for battery life but for everything.

Set my brightness at about 40% for example then when i later look at my phone the brightness has been wacked way higher

Also it keeps tirning wifi and bluetooth on by itself

Anyone else had this?

Iphone 7 btw

Yup.

6+ and it does the same for me, doing my head in already.

Just went into settings and both WiFi and Bluetooth were turned on, Even though they were turned off via control centre.

Thanks for that, no bluetooth icon for me and turned off within control centre, but it was still on in the settings. Rather worrying that if it is actually on it got through testing.
