Anyone know what the best/cheapest insurance deal is for these?

You'd be a fool to buy the 32GB one without insurance, anything happens and you're instantly set back over £500!!!!!!!

If I took out all the insurance that was offered as part of things I bought I bet it would cost about £1000 a year.

e.g. Phones, Fridge, TV, DVD, Washing Machine, SKY+HD, Iphone etc.

So I take the line that it's probably cheaper to replace the ones that go wrong myself than pay all that money to the insurance companies. Obviously Car/House insurance is a must, but the rest.....

Now watch me say that and Sods law hit tonight as the Washing machine explodes spraying water all over the TV, DVD and Sky+ Box, then I fall down the stairs land on the fridge and drop the iPhone at the same time. :D

It will only sync a set amount of e-mails. Default is 50 but can be changed as necessary :) Previous e-mails can be accessed and searched through as required.

Battery life seems to be going well. First charge only lasted about 17 hours but this second charge is much better (see photos). I had wifi turned off and only used when needed and as I'm waiting on my number been transferred I didn't make any calls or texts. However, I did check e-mails and browse the internet occasionally. Rather impressed

how did you post this screenshot?

Having not owned an iPhone before and now deciding that I want one, it is killing me waiting for payday/auctions to finish. I want one now :(

There looks to be some awesome little apps out there, and having played with a girl's iPhone from work, I love it.

I want one :(

From the rainforest.

My 3GS is driving me mad- keeps losing its signal in the middle of london and either displays "searching", "no service" or "cannot connect to cellular data" (or something to that effect).

My old 2G iphone worked perfectly but this 3GS is absolutely useless. Is there anyway to get 3G actually working properly? It was fine all this morning (with the phone by my desk) and now all of a sudden it's lost all signal (it's still in the same place on my desk) and refuses to get any connection - voice or data unless I turn 3G off.

Is this something wrong with the phone or settings somewhere?

I'm using an o2 simplicity sim and have changed the APN settings to mobile.o2.co.uk,

Might be the phone.

My 3Gs is kicking my 2Gs backside in terms of signal strength. 3G is out owning EDGE atm.

Anyone know of a headset adapter so you can convert decent headphones into a handsfree device? Want to listen to music and take calls when necessary.

Went around the shops on the weekend and no one knew what I was on about :p

Also to let other new iPhone users know it seems you can only connect to 1 PC with iTunes and not any others to drag and drop music - found that out the hard way and working out how to fix it (iPhone is seen by both work laptop and home PC, but as Ive dragged music from iTunes on my laptop ti iPhone. I now cant do the same on the home PC - the drag and drop just doesnt happen  ). Unsure how to fix it without wiping the bugger and starting again (want my home PC to be the main iTunes account)

ps3ud0

Just a quick question:

I have sold my Iphone 3g and need to send it today. My 3gS is coming tomorrow. Do I just back up my 3g on itunes with a sync, then wipe it?

When my 3gs arrives I just hook it up to itunes then press restore?

Thanks :)

back it up first !

Then restore the phone.

Get new phone.

Plug it in, restore if you like (do you need to?), and it'll ask you if you want to sync it as a new phone, Or use the back up from the previous phone. Use the old profile and everything should go back across.

did you try what i mentioned earlier, resetting network settings.

a friend also had similar issue and now fixed.

lol - i've tried resetting settings, hard resetting the phone, different APN settings, cleaning my sim card... nothing works! :o

Does the iphone not auto switch to 2g when it can't get a 3g signal? If I disable 3g manually then it gets almost full 2g signal - surely it should do this itself tho rather than sit with "no service"??
