will bring back what you previously typed. god knows how i ever noticed/worked out that

Really? I have barely used it and if I do the % figure goes down in front of my eyes lol.

well, according to your current usage, it should last about 3 days. That's not bad is it for a phone with a large screen, increase CPU and all that wifi/3G usage.

I have the habit of charging mine nightly, so i don't pay attention to battery life during the day.

Sounds about right, took mine off charge at 2am this morning, on standby till i got to work at about 8:30, some assorted apps during the day, few small calls, got home with it on about 68%, which seemed pretty good, really for what it is.

Either way, I've ordered a dock to use at home/work :)

I use that method when selling an iPhone.

It takes 2 hours but it's easy enough to leave it plugged in to the wall while it does it's thing because it means you just box it up when it's done :)

Blimey, it literally was 2 hours! It's now showing the "Emergency only plug into iTunes" like they do when new.

Jobs a gudd'un then ..... as-long as no-one uses CIA tech to recover my texts! hehe

My battery lasted until 7pm until it turned itself off. The battery life is awful on the 3GS - even worse than my 2G was. Does everyone turn 3G and wifi off all the time or something?

I was just using that as an example really...I meant more along the lines of...are o2 going to have a cap where too much browsing takes place...or is this not present?

You would have to use a lot of Mobile bandwidth before anything happened. And from what I gather you would get a letter of warning before they actually did anything. But you'd have to do a hell of a lot of Mobile net usage to manage getting a letter from them .:D

In Firefox all you have to do is go forward again and anything you typed is still there :p

i can literally see my battery percentage draining every time i use it. Took it off a full charge this morning, sent maybe 10 texts and made two 5 mins calls. Just surfed the net for two mins and used the face book app for 2 mins.

Battery currently at 79% usage stats of 1hr 30mins and standby of 13hrs 40. Surely that can't be right? Over 20% gone in under 24 hrs. Oh I correct this, it's down to 78 in the time its taken me to write this post!

Granted I have only charged it from empty twice but methinks I have a duff model based on Apples statistics for battery life.

On my 3G I could get about 4 hours use out of it, mainly wifi and games. Whether that was all on one day, or spread out over 4, it would seem to last for 4 hours of actual use. My 3GS seems similar but I'm hoping after a few charge cycles it will imrove (as did my 3G)

The people coming from normal mobile handsets will be the most shocked at the iPhone battery life.

Don't forget nearly every battery life (on a smartphone) is ****-poor, this is no different.

sent 200mb/received 2.2gb

Didn't think I used the phone that much! That must be over the phones life though, 10months, so 220mb/month down! So you must have to use a good few hundred meg a month to get a letter about using too much
