*** The iPhone 3G S Thread - All iPhone 3G S Related Stuff In Here ***

I have my screen at around 30% which makes it last much longer i also have 3G and Wifi off.

btw.. I'm going to get the Griffin Reveal Case as it has some good reviews, what I like is that its ultra thin and you will hardly notice it on the iphone as it has a clear back also the lay on table design is a plus.

Usually have to charge every night. But can often get 2 days with average usage.
Im the same - prefer charging it when its just hit 20% so normally do it whenever - if I didnt do it at work Id do it at home the say before (so Id say 1.5days usage per charge).

I would never consider switching off £G though I should do Wifi but usually forget :p

Nice case Wingz, though Griffin cases dont seem to get good reviews (did hear that some protected the iPhone but when they were removed the interior had scratched the case to hell)...

I mainly watch youtube videos and a lot were positive but thanks for the headup on it possibly scratching the Iphone I did a google search and read a forum where this guy had is phone scratched http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/496185-post6.html

I currently using the Candyshell which was a gift and its pretty good however taking it off is a pain, I was planning to use the Griffin at home and the Candyshell when I'm out, now instead i'm just going to cling film it when I use it at home ;)

No probs man - I doubt I heard it regards that particular case so you never know...

Im on a SwitchEasy and tbh Ive never taken it apart to check that the case is still pristine underneath - maybe I should (though Ive not heard of the same issue with the SwitchEasy cases though - mine has a neoprene inner between the phone and the case itself)

Loving the high tech workaround - good as telfon coated baking trays as mouse mats ;):p...

Why? EDGE is perfectly capable for applications that use internet pretty much, although it's not so good for Safari.

I only use 3G when I know I have some time to do some Safari browsing, it's a constant drain on the battery and the coverage isn't perfect so you don't always have 3G anyway.

What's this? I have heard of dirt getting down the back of the case and scratching the handset? Might whimp mine off today and check

Great, my iPhone 3GS died 3 days after the 28 day return or w/e. o2 store have sent it away and apparently it's going to take 10 business days to get it back, they didn't have a store lend phone or w/e and have to come back in tomorrow where theirs a chance their be 1 available so a bit annoyed I'm paying almost £40 a month when I'm not going to have the phone for 2 weeks, did question it, she said theirs a possibility if I don't use my SIM to get some of the money reimbursed but then she said they'd contact me on my mobile  I said can't you ring my home phone number, "no, we have to contact your contact number" so I then said well I'm going to have to use my SIM, she then rambled on about how o2 don't make any money on the iPhone or something.

Another thing also, I bought a screen protector on the day I got the iPhone from the store and they put it on for me, I asked what will happen with it etc, she said theirs a chance it might come back with or if they replace the phone it wont, so I asked will I get a new one and she goes "not from this store, I could possibly request an order".

All in all, annoyed I haven't got my iPhone :(

You should have gone to an Apple store - more likely to have got a replacement there and then it seems looking at past experiences from people here...

I would have argued the fact for a brand new replacement if its totally died only a couple days outside of the 28days...

I did try but she kept to her guns about it only being able to replace it if it's faulty within 28 days, and I'm unable to get to an apple store.
