Good man! You like it then? It will tel you at the top left what connection you are using, up next to where it says o2-uk. You might need to go into you settings > general then think networks to set up it wireless.

The wireless logo looks like 3 curved lines on top of each other, if it don't have access to ** wireless net it will try and connect to 3g ( it will say 3g) if it can't connect to 3g it will connect to the edge network which looks like an 'E', and failing that will connect to GPRS which looks like a small 'o'.

Right my Missus has just got a White Iphone 3G on PAYG. She was already on an O2 contract and wants to use this sim in her iPhone, what does she need to do to get her new iphone up and running.

I think u have to use an iPhone sim?

If you dont you dont get your free wap for the year.

But i think i got proved wrong on this before.

Actually, in my terms and conditions it says that if i use my sim in any other phone than my iPhone then my contract will be terminated..

She already has a sim with the internet bolt on, from her old phone, so I dont know
 
Kinda tricky I know they can or are quite strict on it. But putting her pay monthly in the iPhone should work but she won't get access to the free net and other features. Sure someone will tell you for defo though.
 
Still wondering whether to get one or not. £350 is a lot of money for me, wonder if the phone is worth that much with all it's features and gadgetry.
 
I would go the whole hog and get the 16 GB version for an extra £50, I did. Putting my library on it now and it would have been very tight. Depends entirely on your library size etc I suppose.

I don’t know if you've seen my previous posts earlier on in the day but I managed to pick on up this morning and haven't put it down. Quality bit of kit.

Put it's this way and I think a fair few will agree with me... It's the BEST £350 I've spent...ever!
 
this being my first phone uptil the iphone 3g i had my dell x51v which is just a pda. its the best thing i got for some time. new apps are coming out all the time via app store. there some gems on cydia as well and peeps who would tell me its the worst phone to get quickly changed minds after playing with mine
 
I just noticed, for some reason i can't send any emails with my iphone 3G, but i can receive them. When i try to send an email it says "the user name or password is incorrect", i've checked all my settings and they are correct.

Has anyone had a similar problem?.

What e-mail service you using? googlemail?
 
Yet another question from me.

This morning my alarm didnt go off on my iPhone, anyone had this problem before?

It was set, phone wasnt on silent.

Nope, mine works every morning. Check the time is correct and the alarm sound is selected etc... and you've also selected a day for it or a one off etc..
 
Yeah time correct, sound selected, its worked perfect everyday, just today I woke up late and notice it had not gone off. Have just tested it and it works...according to some links on google, it has happened to a fewpeople..

Thanks. It was just missing a password in the "outgoing mail server". I didn't think i needed a password for the outgoing settings since my other accounts didn't, but it seems to been all working now :).

Yeah, i'm using 3 accounts. Google, ISP, and my 1and1 for my website.

Having some trouble putting my library onto my iphone. Its saying other is taking up over half of its memory! and has no room for all my songs and videos (9gb total), when i have nothing on there bar the 22.4mbs of apps?

Anyone know whats happening?
 
Well bought it for £359 impulse buy felt like I spent a lot of money after I'd bought it. Ain't opened it up yet going to now. :D
