A handful at each store.. and then the demand is said to make stock "hard to come by" for the first few weeks.

...which is making me think I'd be better off to go down tomorrow before work.
 
Doh! Sorry to scare you guys but our cancelled orders were my fault, we both passed the credit checks but failed a security check. Turns out because I'm staying with my girlfriend with both put our landline numbers in as the same which flagged a security warning on their system and suspended the orders. They CPW guys were really helpful and got everything sorted out and said we can go and collect them tomorrow after 1pm.
 
So is it worth bobbing down to your local o2 store for opening on the off chance? Or is it pretty much a garunteed no-go for a few weeks? Can't say i've ever been keen on playing guinee pig with new products..
 
For people who ordered online via O2, to check the status on the DHL site, you need to enter the Consignement number under the "by ident code" in the top left field and click submit.

O2 need to sort their terminology out on their site as they call it consignment number and DHL have a separate consignment page which doesn't accept my code.

Did you do this on this page: http://track.dhl.co.uk/tracking/ cos I get different information for mine on that page?

The "By Consignment" doesn't recognize my code at all. I get an error message pop-up instead.

Yeah same place I did it, I get slightly different info, and I get no time on the date, I just get a date. Mine says its in LEEDS SERVICE CENTRE at the moment.
 
Still no update on mine :(

They took the money from my card so I'll be majorly ****ed off if I don't get it on Saturday (especially given that I paid 10 quid more for the privilege).
According to the shop.02.co.uk/info bit that I was texted about, I should have had a text by 6pm today to confirm. As that hasn't happened my order 'wasn't successful'.

Give me my cash back then!

What time did you order? And you go for 16GB or 8GB? You have checked your "My o2" page recently right?
 
enough of this pre web ordering malarky, who's going to a store tomorrow?

Mine opens at 7.02am, i was thinking of going down at 6.30 but i'm feeling nervous now and might turn that into 5.30! :( Well....as long as I have my psp lol

08:30ish, 16GB. Yep - still in progress.
Edit: phoned them and although I've been charged already, it's out of stock and will likely be the 18th at the soonest. :(
Edit again: I'm a new customer - guess I'm just unlucky.

Hmm, I ordered at 8.30, and a 16GB too, and I have a consignment number? Has your my o2 page been updated? I mean do you have the new look one? Unless your an upgrader, then maybe thats why its differnet, I'm a o2 new cutomer.

I'm a new customer and i i ordered around then, the e-mail for my order confirmation was in at 8:40 and i have my consignment number.
