Just ordered the ZAGG invisishield too... free postage from the US from the main website! With exhange rates the way they are - it works out fantastically cheap.

Will keep an eye out for a ZAGG thread when someone gets their's beforehand.

Bullring in Birmingham are having steady amounts of 8gb black stock in - got mine Wednesday. 16gb's are coming in next Friday (big shipment they say)

There are a couple of powersellers got them at around £12 - £13 mark on the uk bay of E if you don't want to wait a couple of weeks for them to come from the US

Anyone know what stock has been like in Sheffield?
That's my closest Apple store at 2 1/2 hours drive, but I really want my iPhone.

No you can't. There are apps that may allow it though using the GPRS/3G connection

Well i dont think mine is coming for a long time now. I have a City Link tracking number, but nothing has been sent out yet...

I am going to be complaining to CPW in the next few days. I have their complaints postal and email addresses, and various phone numbers. This will be such fun.

Oh god ringing up CPW branches is like a trip down memory lane with NTL queries. You get an automated line and are eventually told that "sorry we cannot take your call at the moment, and you cannot leave a message. Please call back later". FOR TWO SODDING DAYS now!

Their site shows stock levels of 8GB, their shop windows state that the thing is now in stock and yet when you go there you are greeted with blank expressions. All I want to do is bloody upgrade ffs. I bet if I was a new customer they'd give me one right away...

Thats great for new buyers. People upgrading can't goto Apple Store as Apple Store only doing new customers.

Upgraders such as myself have to goto CPW or O2. They want to stop delivery to the Apple Stores and get the phones to O2 and CPW so the people that bought iPhone v1 can get there upgrade.

Ahhh I see. Thought you could do both, they had the facilities to him new customers upto the network I figured they would have the resources to upgrade an existing customer.. Good luck on the search then chaps.

On the 25th most stores will be re-stocked with a big shipment due. After this date the online sales will re-open.

Wont be long before everyone is iPhoned up.

Err, yes you can- you walk into an Apple Store and buy one? Being on Orange for another two months makes absolutely no difference to your ability to obtain an iPhone!

Erm, if you do this, do you sign up for the contract in store?

Just an idea.

If i got the iPhone from an Apple store. Then Activate it on iTunes, could i then put a o2 sim in it and would it work? i.e A normal o2 tariff sim?

Sorry, you edited it after I replied. Just to note I was only saying yes to your question about if you sign up to the contract in store, not yes to the "If i got a phone and put a different sim in it" question.
