I for one was only going to move to iPhone 7 if the camera and battery were better than the s7.
Will hold out for the 7 plus tests

I didn't even watch it so, until reading that, I had no idea who won it.
The two are so close as to be irrelevant from what I can gather. Maybe if one was massively superior then it would make a difference but they're not.
Maybe I should have specifically said no one would choose between an iPhone 7 and a Galaxy S7 based on the camera alone.
I can't see why anyone would upgrade from a 6S to be honest. Even if I had a 6 I'd think twice. Unless you specifically NEED one of the new features, such as water resistance maybe, there's just no point.

That's the thing. If I was on a 6S+ I wouldn't even think of upgrading to the 7+. But I'm on a 6 (not 6+) and I can't really bring myself to buying a 6S+ when the 7 is out....
Also 32GB is perfect storage size for me but 16GB is too little and 64GB is too much which is another disadvantage to buying the 6S+ now.
And better battery on 7 but ofc no god damn 3.5mm port.

6S had big jump in processor power compared to 6 and now 7 goes even further, so the difference between 6 and 7 is quite large.

Water resistant + stereo speakers + faster touch ID is a nice bonus

Just a tip..I have an extra tempered glass for my wifes old 6+ and it fits her 7+ perfectly

Had a quick look at the 7 plus today. Next to my 6s plus I wasn't that impressed with the screen. It's better, but nothing drastic. The new home button is an improvement. Seems like less of a jump in advancement outside of the camera once fully updated. I'd feel like I'm buying a phone for water resistance

Got a Spigen glass screen protector. They don't have the curved ones yet but that is probably because the curved ones have coloured plastic in places which covered cover things. I'm sure they will be out very soon.

I've got a 7 jet black on order but am very close to cancelling. iOS 10 on my 6 has given me some new features and I can't get over the disappointment that the 7 looks like my 6. I will give it a few more days thought but it's looking like I might be skipping this gen of iPhone and waiting for the next version to arrive.

So the reason you're both not getting a new phone is just because it doesn't look any different to a previous model, is that right? I'm not trolling you for a reaction, genuinely interested to know. For me, the fact that the form factor is identical to the previous model is a big plus point as good specific model mounting cradles for the car are expensive!
It's not identical, the camera protrusion is massively different. Might not matter for a car cradle if it doesn't cover/hold the top of the phone but means all cases for the 6/6S won't fit the 7.

True enough - My phone slides very snugly into the Brodit mount and the camera bulge has no effect on it. In fact the mount was originally bought for the 6 plus, not even the 6s plus.
