They are slippery to hold at first until it starts wearing down. I've had a few in the past and it takes about a month to get rid of the slickness.
The new leather case is very nice though, the "proper" buttons make a nice addition

Extremely disappointing call with EE 150 retentions. At the moment I'm paying £48.99 for 20GB and an extra £24 for 2 sims which share my data allowance (£12 each)

Was basically told the best deal they could do was exactly what is listed on there site for the iPhone 7+ 128GB. No incentive to stay via any offers or reductions.

£70.99 per month 40GB data £129.99 upfront or
£65.99 per month 25GB data £129.99 upfront

Request your PAC and you'll get a call back. They were offering to reduce the upfront costs by 95% for some and given the stock issues, they are keen to capture as many orders as possible.

Also, I have the £65.99 tariff discounted down to £29.49 for 40GB data and an extra 10GB for having EE BB. My additional sharing sims are £10 each so haggle!!!

They are shifting new phones like hotcakes right now, no need to sell them off cheaper than full price. If you want a deal then wait for a few months ;)

Looks really nice. When you say slick do you mean slippery or just better quality?

Yeah slippery I mean. It has a feeling of some kind of coating (like slightly waxed :) so maybe like traveyb said, it wears off over time.

Connections seem very secured between headphone adapter, not easy to disconnect the headphones.

It's matte black in blue case (I think this case would look awesome with silver model).

Apple cases add very little to the size of the phone. I think they are perfect and quality of them is very high as well.

It's midnight blue right? Thinking of asking apple if I can exchange my black case for one!

Just had a call from Apple asking if my iUP went through yesterday.
Basically said there were systems issues etc and any credit checks that occurred will be removed by Sept 20th (obv if you did manage to get through they won't be removed :P).
Have 14 days to change to the iUP and get a full refund (and keep the same phone).

Still on the fence if to go through iUP, after this years issues it's put me right off

Got mine all set up last night and loving it so far. Agree with comments about the leather case, hopefully it'll get a little more grippy in time. I've come from a 5S so it's a whole different world :)

Backed up and restored via iTunes which went fine although there are a few apps you have to set up again as they're tied to the handset. Primarily banking apps and authenticators.

Everyone asks about the home button. I'm fine with it tbh. Have it on the middle setting and it feels fine after you get used to the slightly different feel.

Popped into the store again today (was passing by) to have a look at a jet black one - can't say it looked marked or scratched on the back and has probably been handled more in the last 24 hours than most phones would be in a month. Did look very nice I must say but am more than happy with my matt black one.

I will be coming from an iPhone 5S as well but don't get my iPhone 7 until next week. Glad you are happy with it as I'm looking forward to the upgrade.

Providing the home button still works well I'm happy with the changes as I've had problems with the mechanical button in the past!!
