Remember Apple say any water damage will void warranty

There is a white water damage indicator inside the iPhone 7.

Absolutely i know a lot of people actually get these and use them in the bath and shower. I don't understand that myself haha i personally just look at those things as a "just in case" it's nice to have it. It's nice to know it can stand up to some pretty hard situations.

Well someone decided to spill Blue WKD on my 7 while I was working last night. dried it up apart from a sticky sleep button there is a small 2cm weird line top left of the screen and it only shows up on light colours. It's weird I am sure this is something to do with the spillage. Im fuming

I think this reviewer is a total idiot.

Really can't stand him.

Or is it that you can't stand some straight honest speaking? :p You can't have Tim Cook and his cohorts doing all the video comparisons.

Most reviewers said 2016 would be a somewhat 'standstill' year for the iPhone and in the main they have been proved right. The camera on the 7 plus is an improvement on previous iPhones in some areas. Other manufacturers products also have great cameras. Given Sony make the sensors it's not unrealistic to expect them to be on other makers products also.

Perhaps Apple are saving all the good stuff for their 10th Anniversary model next year?

I expect if you have iOS 10 on the iPhone 6s then you are not going to seem much difference with the 7. Speaking personally I certainly can't see the value for anyone with the 6 going out and throwing a shed load of money on a 7 other than bragging rights.

Interesting, so they're pretty much on a par despite Samsung claiming a higher rating. I know the iPhone technically outlasted the S7 but it was still damaged so let's call it even.

Doesn't surprise me that Apple would understate their water resistance claims compared to Samsung. The 6S was pretty water resistant already yet they made no claims for that at all. Just shows how Samsung are all about chasing specs and bullet lists of features.

There's been so much comment on this and people really need to stop and think about it. Of course it'll void the warranty. The very fact that it's water resistant means you have to go to much farther extremes to get water into it, so it's far more reasonable that your warranty be void under such circumstances.

Pretty sure the "water damage" voids warranty doesn't mean that any water contact will void it, it simply means if you exceed the depth and the internals are damaged by water they won't pay out. No manufacturer would. They will have the marks inside the seals so unless you exceed the capabilities of the waterproofing you are fine to get it wet

Whilst I'd doubt such a spill would affect it, they do claim water resistance, not WKD resistance :p

Surely just take it to Apple to get them to check it and, if it needs repairing/replacing, the culprit pays?

Exactly. With older phones you'd just need to drop it in the toilet or even spill some water on it which would be relatively easy to do. Now you'd need to go swimming with it or drop it in a lake and, if you're that stupid or careless, why should a warranty help you? :)

Here we go again. What has price got to do with it?

A decent laptop costs more, that isn't waterproof.

My TV cost over twice what my phone did, should that be waterproof too?

One word for you : CONTEXT

A device you have on you all the time - or devices you don't either carry around OR there are available laptops that are waterproof or the context of what you use it for is wildly different.

Contextttttttttt

Regardless are you going to let that opinion of the human get in the way of factual information ?

The audio on the iphone is awful - and no OIS on the zoom lens? WHUT ?

Yeah my temptation is over, I'll get a Note 7, will certainly be looking at next years iphone though, see how they look with amoled.
