Managed to reserve a 128Gb iPhone 7 Plus in Black (Matte) for pickup tomorrow evening at the Metro Centre, Gateshead. I'm still trying to decide whether to buy it out right or do the 20-month interest-free deal. Any thoughts?

Once I've got it I'll cancel my 4th-10th October order

Worth checking for stock at your local store as looks like a delivery is inbound tomorrow!

I had a play with the button yesterday, it felt ace, for want of a better word at this hour, premium, to me the display mate article is a huge vote of confidence in the 7 especially with other talk of tbe 7 camera actually being better if not as fancy as the 7+.

Was this at 6am through the website or some other means? I checked Newcastle and Gateshead at 7am but neither had any plusses in stock. :(

With regards the deal, if you're going to take Applecare+ regardless then take the deal, and do something more useful with the money you'd have used for the up front purchase. I'm debating the 20 month deal and upgrading each year as I am notorious for breaking phones, or failing to get any resale value out of them. So accepting a below market rate residual for an iPhone is still much better than no resale value at all.

If I can reserve one.........................

Strangely I managed to bag the iP7+ via the Apple Store app at about 11.30pm last night. I wasn't expecting it to even display stock but for some reason it came up with 'Tomorrow' as the reservation date.

I'll have to read up about the Applecare+ as wasn't initially planning on taking it but looks like it adds about £5.33 per month for the peace of mind.

Best of luck with trying to reserve one though, there is a chance people won't go so you might be able to grab one during the day :)
 
Rubbish! I Forgot to set my alarm a little bit earlier for 6am this morning: and by the time i checked the site at 07:10 all of, if there were any in the first place, the iP7+ 128/256GB models in matte black have sold out, already.

Don't think I'll be getting one any time soon at this rate.

Argh, site is down at the moment! :(.

Edit - Got in through the app but nothing at the Metro Centre, and only regular 7's at Eldon Square. I'll check around 11pm tonight and 6am tomorrow. :)

There's stock now coming up during day of pluses in black. Managed to get one for my gf in London just now. The istock website is good as it shows you live stock. From when I was monitoring this AM there was a lot coming up in London and up north of 256 and 128

So don't just check at 6am!!
 
iStock doesn't seem accurate. Was showing a few locations as having stock, checked them on the Apple website and they weren't taking reservations for those stores.

Am I being dim? :)
