Third one has it as well. Starting to think this is quite widespread.

Not sure what to do. Part of me thinks to wait to see what officially happens or wait 2 weeks for a newer batch and replace again...

Mine has it as well, but only audible if you put your phone right next to your ear in a quiet room.

It's possible previous versions had similar as well but nobody noticed? I don't think it's worth going through the hassle of getting a new phone as I have to try really hard to hear anything at all.

I think the only reference to how much money I spend was the 'one' reference to how much I pay for my SIM. Perhaps you need to read the posts again.

Who are these average people that spend 5 hours a day on their phone? I certainly don't know anyone like that. I would suggest that anyone that does spend that sort of time on a phone really needs to take a good look at the quality of their life.

Given that smartphones are the primary computing device for a lot of people, 5 hours sounds pretty conservative.

Haha I hadn't even noticed it until it came up on this thread though :(

I haven't tried recording any video yet...

To be fair I may have never noticed it myself if it wasn't brought up. Now that I know it's there and comparing my old Plus phones, it's annoying me! More the principle of it's an expensive device and should not expect any issues like this.

I know it's guaranteed etc, but don't want to equally wait behind the exchange period and end up with a refurb

Dam it I just want a new phone that doesn't catch fire or have quality issues with hissing/white noise on videos and a mic that sounds like it's in a toilet :(

It's beautiful. Although I am having trouble with people hearing me they say it is muffling and keeps cutting off can't work out why its doing it but its coming annoying.. it done it with my other 7 too..

I have heard of people complain of the white noise being heard by the receiver of a phone call.

Interesting...wonder if it is the same thing as the "coil whine" being picked up.

Hope Apple don't try to brush this under the carpet; there is clearly issue(s) with the phone.

I hope they come back with an answer. I have put something on their forums just now and see if anyone else comes back. It is really annoying!

I tend to use about 10GB at least month. I rarely turn wifi on unless I need it as 4G is more than good enough these days.

Smart phones have made laptops, aside from Gaming laptops (and I even dislike those) redundant for me as most things I can do on my phone these days.

I doubt you would be able to compile the business reports and forecasts I do quite regularly at home on your phone. Not the best thing for spreadsheets, pie charts, surface charts etc.

I also have a full home network to run, lots of different tech, so again phone not much use.

My 7 is perfect too - so much better relying on Apple every year for a new phone since 2008 than the bad old days of Nokia and Sony erricson smart phones.
