7+ jet black 128gb, £65 a month, unlimited calls and texts and 25gb data.
Also get a new phone next year.
Also paid no upfront cost.

That doesn't make sense you would not even pay enough to cover the cost of the phone unless you have to return your used phone before they give you a new phone in 12 months

The term 'free upgrade' is not the same as using the word 'free' on its own.

This is a general terminology and yes it is an oxymoron but it works to convey what has happened here at a high level as a business transaction.

'Complimentary upgrade' is the correct English terminology by the book but hardly anyone uses it in day to day conversation and so 'free upgrade' is the default I choose to use.

Last time I checked there's no such thing as a free lunch. It has to be financed somewhere down the line and I would bet good money the phone provider is not the one paying for the lunch, the punter is.

£780 per annum ad infinitum not taking into account general price increases. Hells teeth that's a hell of a lot of cash to pay for a phone. In fact what the customer is doing is simply leasing it?

Makes my £95 a year SIM only seem like a bargain. ;)

This is getting tiresome.

Man is happy to pay so leave him alone instead of preaching

Life would be pretty dull if you never spent money on anything nice

It can technically be an improvement and still be naff :p

Although I haven't had issues with battery life on the standard iphone, compared to similar sized Android equivalents it always feels similar.

Battery is fantastic on my 7 Plus. Trick is to set up as new device and not from backup which I do every year when I upgrade.

I didn't know we were talking about spending money on something nice, this is a phone contract. We could spend the next twenty years discussing spending money on something nice if that's what you want.

The average person spends 5 hours a day on their phone.

1,825 hours per year, more if you are a power user like most people on OcUK.

An iPhone even at contract prices is decent value if you are going to be using it that much considering going to the cinema would cost you £10 for a couple of hours.

Anyway you have ignored my point which is that you humblebragging about how little money you spend is very tiresome.

7+ 128GB dispatched yesterday, ordered around 0813 as soon as the store went back up. Carrier is DHL however the tracking info doesn't work. Think I'll get onto live chat to see what's happening.

Take 3 on hissgate for me today.

I don't honk the battery is much different from a 6s. I use my phone a lot and it never lasts the day. Have to charge at desk
