Last night I finished Life is Strange: Double Exposure. Overall probably not my least favourite of the series (that would be LiS 2) but it's easily the most disappointing one. I really enjoyed the previous game True Colours and had high hopes for DE as a result but it fell flat so many times. Max isn't my favourite character of the series and although she was more bearable in this than the first game, I still found myself rolling my eyes at various lines of dialogue, and overall the story felt a bit too much like a rehash of the first game with a different spin on it. Visually it was quite nice compared to the earlier games, but the audio quality and overall sound design was atrocious and inconsistent, and I encountered numerous bugs like objects hanging in the area after being interacted with, doors/items being open before actually opening them, missing sounds and characters suddenly appearing at the start of a cutscene.
They asked a near-AAA price for this (or a whopping £75 if you were careless enough to buy the early access Ultimate Edition) but didn't deliver a game with anywhere near the production value of one. Apparently it's been a massive commercial flop and I can't say it's entirely undeserved.
Lost Records from the developers of the original LiS landed on PS+ Extra a few weeks ago, I'm looking forward to giving that a go soon.
