baldurs gate enhanced edition, plus new expansion pack siege of dragonspear,

never played the original, other than the gog re-release a few years ago that i never finished but remembered enjoying it and thought id give the enhanced edition a go, really impressed, they didnt dumb anything down, its just a moded baldurs gate with a few extra characters, i loved the challenge of it, no hand holding map markers every where, and the full control over my team mates, i liked all the mechanics, the story, how the dated gfx got you to use your imaginattion a bit more! awesome game, The dragonspear expansion allthough a bit linear was also decent, dunno why no one liked it, all that sjw stuff people moaned about was such a non issue for me.

9.5 out of 10 only because i cant give it 10 because baldurs gate ii is supposed to be even better!

I've always hovered over the buy button for this game, but never took the plunge! Your review has got me interested again

just finished the witcher 2 id give it 8/10 really enjoyed it. it is the most adult themed game that I have ever played the characters swear more than I do and has some graphic nudity & some memorable missions ( I'm thinking of feathers ). does anyone know has this game got the longest list of credits ever. next time witcher 3 on sale in steam I will get that.

finally completed dark souls again, took a few attempts for the final boss but got it done.

love the game and still up in my top games of all times, although the DLC included in the prepare to die edition is a little cryptic for my liking so i didn't really touch it as i dont was to have to follow a guide to complete a boss. online side is also disappointingly quiet these days but thats expected i suppose

still 10/10 im afraid to say :)

The highlight of the series, the world just felt so good to explore as it was all connected except for Anor Londo ofc.

I don't remember the Dlc boss requiring a guide? I think one of the fights in that Dlc was the best in the game for me! Can't remember it as I only ran the Dlc once through!

Who did you side with in act 2? The elf or Roach? Completely changes the 3rd act! Complete different location, story etc! Really warrants a 2nd play through! I think the ending section plays out about the same but the act before that is played on 1 of 2 sides. Only time I felt a choice made a difference in any game

I sided with the elf but have to admit my decision was entirely based on the fact that I would get to bed an elf with that storyline! :D

thanks for telling me I went with the elf guess I'm just going to have to play it again its a shame you cant keep all your stuff for second playthrough because it seems you get the really good bits then the games over.

i know one of them had something to do with the orange crystal golum but by the time i had opened the final door i didn't want to venture too far as i just wanted to say i had completed it again, as with all dark souls games in 6 months or so ill get a craving for some punishment and return to the series... i really need to be able to say i have defeated Kameleet and Artorios

100% agree with the best in the series, 2 had some excellent moments but used warping too early to make the world feel disjointed and 3 was great but still seemed to carry on some of the faults with 2 along with it and had an obvious difficulty spike (cant remember the name of the area but after the bridge with the surprise attack)

Ill also go back to bloodborne at some point as i have completed 2 of the endings but i never get the urge to go onto NG+, i like to feel myself grow strong on the original playthrough not to re-spawn and have all the enemy's stronger.

Pillars of Eternity - 7 / 10. Enjoyed it for the most part reminded me of playing really old school RPG with mainly having to read quests etc. Roll on POE2

Skyrim - 6 / 10. Finally finished the SE as I never did the first time around. Got over 80 hours of it with both DLC's installed, main quests felt a let down compared to some of the side quests and just came to an abrupt end.

Doom. 6/10.

Good shoot em up fun, but very repetitive throughout.

It's worth the tenner - 15 quid it seems to be going for currently brand new as multiplayer is a good laugh. Wouldn't pay much/any more than this for it though.

Dead Space. First time playing it although I played the 2nd one a couple of years back. Cool story, great game mechanics, cool weapons, cool monsters. Loved every minute of it. 9/10
Yeah the first Dead Space was awesome, played it through at least 3 times. Although the mouse aiming was horrible on PC, but I can forgive it for being such a great game and genuinely scary. 2 was good but not as good as the first, and I couldn't get into 3 for some reason.

The bloodborne Dlc is very strong too imo! Playing Nioh at the moment but will replay that again after! Have the platinum on it, loved it

You can fix it completely by using you GPU driver vSync and editing a .cfg file. Works a treat!

Have to say I didn't notice the mouse aiming being poor - I figured it was kind of deliberate like the more recent Resident Evil games. That being said when I played Dead Space 2 I hadn't adapted the mouse and keyboard yet and played on a controller so compared to the that I found it easer to aim at limbs playing with the mouse.

Adrift - I don't have VR so played it with the Controller. Some of the visuals, music and atmosphere - particularly when travelling out in open space between the broken sections of space station were breath taking - I can only imagine how awesome these parts would feel played in VR. Ultimately the entire game is pretty much doing the same thing though and unless I missed a lot the snippets of information about what happened (which I don't think I did) then the game ended with me only having a vague outline of the events that led to situation you find yourself in at the start of the game - perhaps that was deliberate though. Still a unique experience though that I'd recommend if you can pick up for under a tenner. 7/10

Mad Max - Had it on my 'to play' list for a while now and finished it last night. I loved the customization on Max and the car but wish they had spread it stuff out a bit better considering you don't get the V8 till the last few missions and i had Max fully maxed on skills and Armour well before i hit pink eyes territory. Combat and boss battles were very repetitive and ending was a bit flat and rushed but i enjoyed it and has some of the best looking fire and explosion effects. 7/10
