The last game you completed, and rating.

How did you find the check list style map? Each time I start playing it, I feel over whelmed with the amount of items to collect and puzzles to solve in order to progress my character. Is the game actually playable if you skip the majority of those?
You don't have to do all the side missions, you can level up without them, the puzzles you can press a button to auto complete the actual puzzles too.

But you won't power up as quick, however I just used the Iron Spider suit for the whole game and unlocked the web upgrades which you need(well I did) late game.

If you do some street crimes and clear out some strongholds, that gives you points needed for some web upgrades.

If you're a certain vintage from before the movies/cartoons, Spiderman is pure comic book stuff, when the story takes off it's Amazing-pun intended.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Geforce Now 3080

9/10

After watching Cyberpunk: Edgerunners recently I decided to give this another run through, having not played the recent 1.6 update. This time however I decided that instead of using my 2070 (non super) with limited ray tracing and somewhat spotty performance I would sign up to Geforce Now 3080 tier for a month and play it that way.

It's not cheap, the library is pretty sparse and it's certainly not in my opinion worth a constant subscription but... if the game you want to play happens to be on the platform and like me you don't have the latest hardware it's a great option to experience a game the way it's meant to be played. It's technically very impressive and I was blown away by the clarity. YouTube videos don't do it justice at all. I'm excited about the new 4080 upgrade that is on the way.

Days gone 9/10. Picked up for about £4, wow how much entertainment for the cost of a sandwich. It sets the scene perfectly as a post apocalypse hell, looking at aspects of the game individually you'll see flaws and areas that are somewhat generic, but from a whole... there's so much passion gone into this game. All the little things with care and time put into it, come together to create a fantastic experience.

It's a game I'll never forget and although quite long, I'll probably play it a number of times over on higher and higher difficulties. On survival modes I expect it to be the best survival experience I've come across yet. I'm not much into mindless horror like the resident evil reboots, or constant fear like that recent Alien game, a game like this is just my ticket. Scary for sure, but you can always just run away (or try), do something else or come back later when it's nice and sunny.

Evil West 8/10
While it seems very average and repetitive it is yet addictive, some of the bosses were quite hard too and after beating them I was able to go back to Doom Eternal with more confidence and finally beat The Dark Lord very final boss .

It Takes Two 10/10 - Played this through with a combination of myself, my 8 year old daughter and teenage lad. Huge respect for the studio who took a gamble on this type of game, brilliantly different to most games out there. At 50 I'm pretty much done with gaming nowadays especially with the generic COD or Battlefield stuff that gets rechurned out every year but that was just great fun playing through with my daughter and son. The graphics are superb, so much in the way of small details when you take the time to look around. Only downside the daughter got upset when we finished it! Now I've got to find something to replace it with.

Mad Max 7/10

Nailed the vibe of the films and general aesthetic, cars sound awesome. Gameplay is fun although very repetitive with some blatant copy and pasting of bases. Overall it's a good, casual game to play with not too much challenge but satisfying combat.

It's not as 'underrated' as some would have you believe but it's worth playing for sure.

First page of google for "mad max game" and there's a few underrated references. Depends on your definition and whether you're holding an 8 year old game to today's standards. The reviews were "ok", but it definitely did not get the attention it deserved and ended up in the bargain bin really quick.

Today's standards of game are below those from 8 years ago....

Horizon Zero Dawn, 8/10.

Combat is amazing, robots feel fun to fight and each one freels like a unique mini boss, open world not so good and is just there for the sake of being open world.

Seen this for under a tenner? Well worth getting then?

When Arkane announced Prey was going to be the new game after the Dishonored series (which I am an absolute massive fan) I was a bit peeved so gave it a miss.
Dumbarse..
It's brilliant, all the way through. Totally atmospheric, great story, humour, graphics and playstyle.
It's bound to be peanuts somewhere at the moment so grab it. And play it, unlike me at the time.:D
Another one i might get its like £4. :D

HZD never appealed to me in the slightest, not one bit.

PlayStation gave it away free some time ago and the complete edition just sat there on my PS4 for a long time.

I finally gave it a go and bit by bit it drew me in. The story, the combat mechanics, everything.

Absolute loved it, loved HFW just as much in the end if not more (a few changes got me grumbling like an old man but I ended up preferring then).

Under a tenner? Definitely. I may just pick it up again for pc now.
