The last game you completed, and rating.

DmC : Devil May Cry - 6/10

The platforming was really cool, the environments were really good looking but the controls and combat was terrible. Story was OK and it ran alright on my system though there was quite a bit if stuttering. Music was amazing though, I really like Combichrist

SWToR - Agent Storyline - Chapter's 1-3

Left the game many years ago, but came back and finally got my old Agent to the end of the original plot. The story is what this game is all about and my recent return really hammered that home.

It was a long slog, but there were some genuinely poignant moments along the way. 8/10

'tis a shame the game is hamstrung by the MMO time sink of running around huge, huge maps, loading screens and endless back and forth nature of quests. That said I think I'll carry on through the rest of it.

Shadow of Mordor

Finished it earlier this week. The pacing was a bit off in places and it doesn't get properly fun I don't think until you've unlocked all the abilities linked to the story, which happens when you're quite a way through the game. The final battle was terribly underwhelming and the difficulty perhaps tilted a bit too much towards easy as the game progressed.

That said, I had immense fun with the combat and the nemesis system was really fresh and entertaining. Was great creating my own personal narratives of conflict with the named captains. Was very close to 100%-ing the game before I put it aside, which is very unusual for me (usually I lose interest once the main story is complete).

It looked pretty good too with the HD texture pack, and had a pleasing LoTR atmosphere.

8/10 for me.

Fallout 4,

Completed in 65 hours, I got bored of it towards the end I've not touched the settlements side of the game I don't see the point in it and it the story was weak in my opinion, Fallout 3 was much better in this aspect Fallout 4 is not a bad game just over hyped and let me down.

Uninstalled and glad to move on.

7/10

Dying light 8/10 for game but might bump it due to extra work dev put in after release.

First game in long time I completed and actually tried to get most achievement's, did some with random coop and some alone. Really enjoyed this after buying dead island and not liking at all.

Gta5 single player 7.5/10 not as good as others. Multiplayer not my thing.

Wolfenstein - old blood 8.5/10 great to be playing a good single player shooter. Didn't feel bored.

The Swapper - 7/10

A decent puzzle game, not very difficult tho (a lot of puzzles can be solved by trial-and-error, or even accidentally).

The plot is passable, and helps drive the game forwards, but isn't particularly brilliant and the ending is a big anti-climax.

Recommended to anyone who likes puzzle games.

e: one complaint in particular is that the puzzles are hardest half way through the game, and actually get easier later on. Not just slightly, but drastically. The puzzles at the end are trivial compared to earlier ones, which is not great.

Fallout 4 - 8.5/10

Well initially I said that all I wanted was more of the same, after all, Fallout 3 and NV were fantastic games. We got pretty much the same, with a few neat additions like settlement building, but also some loss in depth. Bethesda really need to start offering something new with their next Fallout (and Elder Scrolls) games. That said, this is still Fallout and it is hard not to love!

Pros
+ Graphics are decent for the setting and with much more colour too.
+ Weather effects, especially radiation storms are nicely done
+ A LOT of exploration
+ A well filled map with little empty/wasted space
+ Hardly any bugs which is a pleasant change, although a lot of this is owing to the fact that Fallout 4 isn't as complex as Skyrim or as innovative as Fallout 3 was.
+ Brilliant radio stations as ever.
+ Great to have a use for 'junk'!

Cons
- Settlement building is fun, but very clunky.
- Not many game changing choices for an RPG.
- Performance isn't always great, please use a new engine Bethesda!
- Little use for caps.
- Lockpicking mechanic is getting tiresome.

The Stanley Parable 2/10

Not a game. Boring, repetitive, rubbish. That people think it clever or witty amazes me. One thing we should all be able to agree on - it's not a game, at all.

Fallout 4 - 8/10.

I was going to give it a 9 but I'm so dismayed by the complete lack of end game content. I have not played Bethesda games much but after thoroughly enjoying the game until the end, the fact that there's barely anything to do is a real shame. Some kind of continuing story development would have given this game 10/10.

Antichamber - vomit everywhere/10

There must be something about the minimalist graphics this game uses. After 10 mins, my head was spinning, and felt sick to my stomach.

I never get ill playing FPS either. It's 100% the game tho, I get the same nausea watching the game on YouTube. Really bizarre.

Wolfenstein the new order - 7/10

I enjoyed this a lot more than the Old Blood. Even though it was probably a similar length, it just felt more like a full game. Liked the story and characters, but the ending was a little lacking.

One thing I didn't like was that there was no way to enable AA. I tried a few suggestions, like adding an entry to the launch options and console commands, but it didn't seem to make much difference. I was surprised Total Biscuit didn't pick up on this as he is usually really thorough when it comes to PC gfx options.

South Park Stick of Truth - 8/10

The story and entertainment value is brilliant. Laugh out loud funny if you enjoy the show.

The battle mechanics are not great, and some of the mandatory tutorial sections are immensely frustrating if you don't immediately grasp what they're asking you to do.

Presentation is spot on and the music is decent.

Must play for any South Park fan :D Why did I leave this sat in my Steam library for so long?
