South Park Stick of Truth - 8/10

The story and entertainment value is brilliant. Laugh out loud funny if you enjoy the show.

The battle mechanics are not great, and some of the mandatory tutorial sections are immensely frustrating if you don't immediately grasp what they're asking you to do.

Presentation is spot on and the music is decent.

Must play for any South Park fan :D Why did I leave this sat in my Steam library for so long?

Yup, just competed it there and those are exactly my thoughts on it too

Fallout 4 - 7/10

Didn't live up to the hype unfortunately :( I really wanted to enjoy this (And I did for the most part), but the main storyline was really weak (and short) for a game of this type.
Hopefully the DLC will be an improvement over the main game.

I saw it as more an exercise in narrative which with today's heavy emphasis on online/open world gaming as well as tired franchises was very refreshing. Looking forward to more work from the chaps who made this.

But it wasn't a game, per se. All you could do is move from room to room. Moreover, you weren't required to move quickly, or avoid obstacles, or time your movements, or....

Basically there was no challenge set for the player.

All you needed to do was leisurely move from point A to point B or point C. Depending on your choice of destination, you would get another narrative.

That this can qualify as a "game" is rather strange.

If it can, then those "make your own adventure" books are also games.

Fallout 4 9/10
Loved it, Story was good and I am glad they didn't end the game as such like they have done in previous games.

Bioshock Infinite 8/10
Really enjoyed this especially as I disliked the previous 2. I had to google the ending as it confused me a bit but it did make the decisions a bit pointless.

FO4: overall 7.5/10

Dropped a point for the garbage and impersonal ending.
Up until I started following the main story, it was 9/10.
The visuals were an issue but grew on me, with some bitter sweet ugh/wow moments.

The freedom to explore, and the amount of exploration to be done made it a truly rewarding experience. I didn't pursue the main quest until about 100 hours in.

Still playing it for the alternative factions (and to get the steam achievements)

Sniper Elite 3 - 7/10

Pretty much Sniper Elite 2 moved to the North African theatre with a new baddie.

Overall, a pretty enjoyable game, but the last few levels became a somewhat rinse and repeat.

There wasn't a single level where the following tactic didn't work:
1. Stealth kill enemies until you reach a vantage point where ambient noise hides your rifle shots.

2. Pick of distant enemies between you and next objective.

3. Relocate and hide until alert status drops back to normal if spotted.

4. Repeat until level is completed.

Fallout 4.
I've give it an 8/10 as overall I genuinely enjoyed it.
Good bits:
- Better looking than 3 and has removed the annoying element of weapons wearing out
- Was enjoyable and I played it for over 130 hours
- The settlements could have been done better, but did add additional things to do

Bad:
- Nothing really new
- I can't see me replaying it
- Building of settlements was frankly a bit of a pain. I got into a habit of building the easiest layout with a specific amount of defence, resources etc
- The perks get to the point where quite frankly, it got a bit easy. Very quickly, you'll work out what's genuinely useful and you can focus on say creating a frankly OTT gun. So for example, I took full perks in rifle, sneak etc, meaning that I was getting double damage with any rifle, +30% for being solo (the henchmen are more of a hindrance than help), +30% for using silenced weapons, *3 on a sneak attach. Put all that together and by the end I was able to takeout say a deathclaw with a .38 rifle with 6 shots and that was on survival mode. Just made it too easy. IMO, the perks were a good idea, but FAR too effective. If they'd scaled them and reduced combat effectiveness by say half, or even more, would have been good. I thought it was good that I was scared of a deathclaw in Fallout3. In Fallout4, they weren't even a challenge.

Also recently stopped playing WoT and that's after 5 years of play.
Great game, sadly destroyed by servers awash with "we're here just for fun" players and no attempt by the game designers to create and environment that promotes skill and team play.

Presently working on Elite and have just bought Crusader Kings, Dying Light and DCS Huey for something a bit different.

Just completed Far Cry 4 after about 23 hours of game play. Still have loads left to do but the main story is done. I shot him :p

I'd rate it 8/10.

Graphics is beautiful and love the design. Weren't too keen on the interplay between the Golden Path's two main characters but quite enjoyed the main antagonist. Massive world too.

Got a bit bored at the end as I was so overpowered that wiping out bases were a joke.

Anyway, solid game and highly recommended.

Fallout 4 - 8.5/10

Pumped nearly 80 hours into it now, I must say it exceeded expectations. Had the feel of fallout 3 and NV, but with nicer graphics, better gameplay and the settlements are a nice feature.
