I agree, superbly done. This is the sort of stuff ND excels at and I can only applaud the work that went into this, even if I have issues with the story. I'd totally ride around the place for hours on end.

I wish PC was getting games of this caliber from years back. Considering they're pulling this off on a base PS4. It's insane.

While The Division 2 is amazing on graphics, it's not as incredible as The Last of Us 2 details that they're pulling off here.


Imagine what they'll do with the PS5. Damn!

Does anyone else remember when Metal Gear Solid 2 came on PS2?

Spoiler: Very minor references, no direct spoilers.

There was a very similar reaction to TLoU2 to the bait and switch that Kojima pulled. People were EXTREMELY annoyed at the time, maybe even more than annoyed than over TLoU2. Made worse by the fact it was the best MGS had ever looked or played being on the newer PS2.

The themes of that game aged surprisingly well, but replaying it last year I couldn't help still fill a lot of disappointment at the bait and switch moment, what TLoU2 does is way more extreme than that. Any politics completely aside that's enough to annoy many players.

When the leaks were rumoured I could only remember MGS2 leaks/story analysis as being that polarising or controversial, I feel there are definite similarities.

Yes, I feel console releases get much better art design and devs really try to squeeze everything out of the hardware.

Releases like that are far and in-between on PC, and I'm saying that as a PC gamer at heart.

Sure, RDR2 looks and plays significantly better on PC but PS4 had it for a year and it's mind-boggling it looks as good as it does on console.

Visually, TLoU 2 is a proper swansong for the console and first party stuff on PS5 is going to be crazy.

Have you noticed they're a lot more violent? A lot more aggressive than the first and faster. The clickers seem like wild dogs mauling you to shreds compared to the first.

It really is, there’s been several times I’ve been on the edge of my seat at what’s been happening in the cutscenes.

Watching a steamer this game looks absolutely gorgeous. It's a shame of the direction they took the story and characters because I would have caved and bought a PS4 to play it like I did a PS3 to play the first game.
