The Last of Us Part II

Is it any wonder when all the big name reviews were bought for?

Brain washing and blackmail at its best.

Still amazes me that too how people seem to be ok with the way the reviews have been handled, fair enough if people genuinely are enjoying the game but to be ok with those scummy practices.....
But not all big name reviews were positive, so explain that, and while you're at it, please provide the sauce that all the positive reviews were bought for, thanks :)

Can see why people dislike this game now...

my interest in finishing the game has dropped to virtually zero after realising I am basically playing as Abby for half the game. Have no interest in her character whatsoever, despite the obvious intent of the game to make me feel some kind of empathy towards her. Will probably not go back to it now and just read the rest of the story

Id suggest seeing it through. I hated her for obvious reasons as well up to that point but actually enjoying her side just as much as the first half. Different playstyle to Ellie as well more brutal

Can't wait until I finish the game so I can finally read up on why people are crying and review bombing it.
Seriously, I've been a champion at avoiding any and all info about 'it' and literally have no clue at all.

It's so mysterious !! :)

Enjoy, it's selling well that's for sure. :D
The Last of Us Part II is the UK’s fastest selling Sony game on PS4, bigger than the Uncharted 4 launch in boxed sales alone. It’s the biggest game launch this year by far, smashing the opening sales of Animal Crossing, and comfortably bigger than its predecessor

Holy moses, what an encounter that was. I feel mentally exhausted. Nearly 3 hours later. :D

I called it a night where all the traps were before heading to the TV station. From the horse getting killed (I was so gutted about the horse but the way it felt I thought an ambush of clickers and runners were coming for it, not a boobytrap) all the way to the petrol stations and stores on some gradual hill. The first encounter was crazy as they were searching you from room to room that looked like a mini library? Lots of grass around the left hand corner. Stealth killing them one at a time. Then more came down from the roof. Not sure how many there were. Felt like 12 - 14?

After that from the petrol stations to stores with the patrol people, then I found runners and clickers in some of the stores. Once I took out the area with the guy in the roof with the rifle, the fun began. Getting the patrol people to follow me into each store with the clickers and runners to take the rest out. That was fun to watch as the woman stuck her head in through the door to find me but the runners came fir her and then to hear the screams and gunfire. I could hear her voice coming down the hill outside the store just before the sting.

So went back up the hill to the next area for the other petrol station on the far right of the hill. I went around the left hand side of the garage to take one female patrolmen out. Once she discovered the dead body, the fun began. They started doing a sweep for me while I lay in the grass around the corner in the bushes, then one guy went into the store across from the garage which he unleashed the runners and the one clicker. All I heard was gunshots and cries until there were no more gunshots.

The patrolman never came back out but the runners and clicker came out for the rest. So much fun setting them up to then deal with the runners after I swept the area to check and make sure there were no humans hiding to raid all the supplies. The clicker was still alive behind the blue door. I wasn't risking myself opening that door but it was so amusing watching that clicker mash the door in to go back inside.

Down at the bottom of the hill the last patrol group must have heard all the gunfire from that group. As I snuck around in the large store to take out two taking the threat away. Think there were 5 in total fighting them off behind the jeep. Ran into the store while I lost some woman with a bat. Sat in the bushes for a while to check for movement. Nothing. Slowly crept around and found her behind one of the concrete barriers and slit her throat.

Things looked clear as Dina gave the all clear but it still didn't feel safe. There was another guy hiding behind a desk on the top floor just before you drop down. Snuck around each wall and smashed his face in with the previous woman's baseball bat. Icky.

I'm somewhat concerned about Dina, she was coughing after Tommy's dead horse which I thought was a little alarming.

My god this game is so fun. :D

Finally got all my ammo back. It's so hard to find ammo on Survivor.

Speaking of louder scenes, just being on the options menus seems to ramp the fan/disc up louder than when playing the game sometimes which is just a bit bizarre :p

I believe the reason the menus ramp up the fans is because the game runs an unlocked frame rate then.

Oh it gets so much more tense yet :D

Obviously the ones that didn't give it 9.5 and above didn't get paid enough :D

What planet are you guys living on? :D

Reviewers have come out and said:

- they weren't allowed to review the last half of the game, not even give any mention of it, nor could their score be based on it, literally only the first half of the game they could do anything with
- if they didn't get positive scores etc.

They get blacklisted.

Although tbf, sadly it's not exactly a new thing as pretty much all the triple a games/companies will do something along these lines to ensure great scores across the board but to not allow them to mention the second half of the game, oh lordy....

Can't be bothered posting the twitter posts again so look back in the thread, also, here's a new one, Asian reviewer getting big backlash from his followers:

But nah keep the fingers in the ears and the rose tinted glasses on :D

Can't wait for angry joes review.

I'm a little worried about my PS4.
Or maybe this is normal?

Does anyone see corruption or glitching in the game?
It's SUPER fast and hard to spot, but occasionally, for just a frame, a dust mote looks like a square, or there'll be the slightest flash of pixels as you're turning.
Anyone?

Yes. My game has done it once or twice. Looks like a flash of white on my tv. I think that’s what you’re talking about.

I've not seen anything like that with mine. Only issue I had on Friday was that my PS4 wouldn't read the disk! It's done this before so I opened it up and gave the lens a clean and it was good to go. Gave everything a good clean while I was in there, too.

I was a bit panicked and if I hadn't been able to fix it I'd have just said **** it and bought it digitally.

Mine did similar before locking up.
