Stuck on one bit and it's doing my nut.

I've just fallen down the elevator shaft and now trying to get back to Ellie and I've just put the power back on with the generator and there's a bloater and lots of the others after me, I just can't seem to kill them and then him before I get killed.
 
This is how I did it...

I fell back to the corridor where you entered the area so you only have to cover one direction, threw a molotov or two at the bloater when it appeared and killed the runners with shotgun (some may get killed by molotov), that was on grounded so I didn't want to risk meleeing them.

i just ran! Died couple of times trying to clear the area at first but failed, so made a run for the door at top and I think I killed one that blocked my way.

get the card first, you will be attacked but they ain't too bad. Then start the generator and RUN!

EDIT: Many replies! Thanks guys, managed to do it now.
Just chucked a couple of molotovs at him and a nail bomb, soon killed him then did the rest with the shotgun.

The ending to TLoU is one of the bravest bits of editorial decision making ever. At first you think... is that it? And then the maturity and depth of that final scene hits you. Or ought to. :-)

I haven't felt that way about an ending since The Sopranos. And the way the music kicks in as you're kind of waiting for something more... I think it's absolutely masterful. But I understand what you mean, despite that.
 
Anyone else getting texture pop in and broken cutscenes sometimes? The textures seem to change from low res to high res but it can sometimes be reallyyyyyy slow :(

Edit : On PS4 Remastered version.

I asked the same question when i was stuck there :D

For me i made sure i had picked up the keycard first. Once i start the generator i basically ran the clickers and bloater round in a circle and then legged it for the door. Took a few tries but got through it without killing anyone.
 
Completed the main story last night. Brilliant game. Solid gameplay. Excellent storytelling and characters. Visually stunning in places.

Was playing on grounded with everything turned off in options. Man oh man were some bits hard. The last bit at the end took me quite a few tries. It was utterly intense. Don't think I've ever felt so scared of being shot at in a game before.

Something weird going on with the crafting unless I'm mistaken. Kept noticing that I never seemed to be able to craft anything that required blades, even though I was sure I had collected loads. Picked up three in a row on the last section and still couldn't craft anything that needed blades. Just showed blades in red on the crafting screen. Had all the other required mats. Do you need more of each material on grounded or something?

You need a curtain number of the objects to have a complete part - you were probably getting quarters of blades (if you look before you pick it up part of the inner circle will be shaded to show you how much you're getting).
 
Completed survivor+ last night, but now need to find the one conversation I've missed on both play throughs for the trophy :mad:, then its on to the Left Behind DLC

Its good to see the waiting times have come down for MP match making with the new patch, almost no waiting time last night, and some fun games to boot, just a shame it still splits up parties randomly
 
Why did they have to release this in the summer :( i feel like am wasting the day playing on this when its nice and sunny outside, sod it the PS4 is going off .... will play it on a night
 
Finished the story today, fantastic story, and a brilliant game, when I didn't keep getting stuck that is :p

Now time to try online, do people on here play together on it?
