Me too and I've put nearly 40hrs into it, almost completed it twice now. :p

I would try deleting the game and reinstalling if I was neoglow, I've noticed a few glitches here and there (understandable for what in essence is a port) but nothing major.

On grounded the melee combat AI is pretty much:

If AI strikes player first kill him.
If player strikes AI first ignore it and kill him anyway.

It's really annoying, more cheating AI than clever AI.

I'm stuck in the room with Ellie and David fighting the Runners, Clickers and then the Bloater and the amount of times he's just turned his back and walked away or blocked the stairs doing nothing is infuriating. Been stuck on this section for a good 4 hours now :(
 
Grounded mode progress:

I've just done the sewers section, which was a complete nightmare! On to the sniper now.. which again is proving to be quite testing.

I've now done three out of the four sections I was dreading in this grounded run.. Bills upside down trap, the hotel basement and the sewers... really really not looking forward to the section where you're Ellie and you're stuck in that room in the middle of nowhere with just a rifle and they start spilling through the windows.

Really hard on grounded.. the AI is like bast*rd superman.
 
Finished it today so posted it back to Boomerang.

Enjoyed it a lot more than I expected. The DLC wasn't very good but the full game never had any dull moments, or filler moments - which these days is a major +

No scenes felt 'forced' to get you to a certain section etc.

Everything flowed really well and the walking around picking up supplies while they talked was actually really interesting. Some of the best moments of the game had no enemies at all.

I liked the way it concluded too.

By no means my fave game as far as game play goes, but has to be up there for story and character interaction as one of, if not the best.
 
Finished this on normal the other day, absolutely amazing game. I'll play the Ellie side story bit and then leave it for a while before having a crack at one of the harder modes.
 
I've noticed this remastered version is a lot buggier than the original. I highly recommend the multiplayer, easily overlooked as I did with the PS3 version, give it a few matchs to get in the swing of it and found it pretty good.
 
Roughly, percentage wise how far am I into this game before the end?

Currently met Tommy, and Ellie has stolen one of his horses and fled

This works quite well for this section, although it might take a couple of goes to get it right

once the cut scene finishes with the sniper go down the left route. You will get to a drop with a house in front, and see a white door run to this an then back it should trigger the hunters walking up the path which will enter the house, leaving you to clear to run to the bottom, jump over the fence and then round the back into the house with the sniper if done right you can avoid firing a shot or taking on any hunters in the area :D
 
I bought this game for PS3 but due to being very busy put little more than an hour into it, is it worth trading the PS3 version in for the PS4 before I start playing again?

I did that earlier and it took me a couple of hours as well.

First 5 mobs (3 runners/2 clickers) I just let them attack David and then stab them, if you attack while they're wrestling with him or being pushed away you'll one shot them. Then I go up top and kill the 2 runners that enter through the window with bow (hoping to get some arrows back), you can kill them before they even come through the window. Then I forgot the order but there's some more runners and clickers, the 2 runners who enter the bottom window near the desk I just shot them with rifle as they drop onto the floor. The other runners I shoot them with bow if I have to or kite them onto David, the upstairs window ones I always shoot them with bow, the clickers I kite them towards David and then do the one shot melee thing when they attack him. All the time you have to beware of runners and I would either shoot them with bow or kite them towards David (he's a nob anyway). Then when the bloater appeared I waited for it to drop to the floor and threw a molotov if the new runner has appeared kill it while the bloater is on fire, then throw whatever else you have at it whilst avoiding any other mobs, I think it took me a molotov, nail bomb and rifle shot to take the bloater down. Be careful of the bomb it launches if you're having trouble with any runners/clickers. Don't try to fight all of the runners/clickers just try to kite them near David and then melee them.

That's just about covered it.

I think the one with David might be bugged, I had 31 when I did that I remember checking but entering the next chapter I only have 30. I'll have to go through again on plus mode anyway, I've not even got the shiv door one because shivs are like rocking horse poo on grounded. :(
