The Lord of the Rings Online - Name / Class / Server thread .. etc etc

I can't remember at this stage tbh, Evendim got a revamp last year that I think altered the level range slightly. Great zone to level in, good quests and scenery. Tbh subbing for a month would probably get you close enough to 50 anyway, if you play regularly.

I need to sub to unlock the extra bags tbh 3 dont go very far when im off killing wights and looting stuff at the moment.i have no idea where i am lol.i play for an hour or so a day at the moment.i am enjoying it so will get the 3 wxpansions as that will give me plenty if quests to go at.

I believe it rewards exploration a lot more now, in that there are quest hubs tucked away that you aren't breadcrumbed to, you have to go off and explore.

Haven't been through since the revamp mind you.

me neither. I've got a Rune Keeper in there and I've not ventured anywhere in Moria since the revamp.

One of the good things about the old Moria was that it was so confusing and twisty (like the book alluded too) that you were so damn glad to get out of there into the daylight again :D

Hi there - I've just started playing (got a lvl 13 hunter and quite enjoying it - with the usual 'I'm having fun but don't really understand the mechanics of it yet...' :)

One of the most confusing things to me is what you get for each of the different membership types (I'm F2P at the moment) and what's the best way to get additional content. So....could someone help me with the following question - the 'Mithril Edition' of the base game is available at GameStop for £6.15 and seems to have some additional quest content and 2,000 Turbine points which seems like a good deal....is that correct? Or, is there a different (and better) approach to getting access to additional quests etc?

Cheers

TC

Mithril is such a good purchase, the 2k tp alone is a great buy for that price + you get a host of other stuff.

edit: I'll include the link for different account types again so you can see what you get here

My GF has just brought the Mithril Edition, qives the quest packs for the "Path of the Fellowship" and the 2000TP can be used to unlock most of the restrictions on your account, and the minute you spend those points you become a Premium member :)

Its the purchase of the mithril edition that makes you premium (any real cash purchase upgrades your account, spending points doesn't).

Didnt know about the mithril edition will give it a look.does it have any if the content of the steam tripple pack?

Mithril includes the areas Trollshaws, Eregion, Mines of Moria, and Lothlórien. Mines of Moria will be also in the tripple pack, although the tripple pack version will be much better as its the full expansion whereas Mithril will just be the quest pack. e.g. the full expansion for moria includes two new classes (runekeeper/warden) plus two extra character slots.

Most of it, but at a MUCH better price. Buy it for £6 here:

Can then get all the way to 65 without subbing. From there you'll have a reasonable idea of whether or not you want to continue, if you do then you'll need to buy the 2 latest expansions.

Ok i have now got the Mithril edition :) Seems a bargain at £6 for those quest packs and 2000 turbine points and a steed.
Think i need to invest in the riding skill now as i cant be bothered walking or waiting to level 20 to do the free quest for the riding skill lol :)
