The Lord of the Rings Online - Name / Class / Server thread .. etc etc

Seeing as this popped up again I thought I'd nudge in a little big up for our Kinship... The Guardians of Middle-Earth aka The GnoMEs ;)

We play on the Evernight server & would love more people to join in the fun :D
 
I play on Evernight server too, i have the following classes:

Captain: 65
Guardian: 62
Ministrel: 59
Rune Keeper: 47
Warden: 45
Lore Master: 22
Hunter: 15
Burg: 12
 
The steam tripple pack is at 50% off atm. so your getting Moira/Mirkwood/Isengard for 15 quid.

Also Rider of Rohan (the latest expansion) is 50% off for the heroic edition so 18.49.
 
Yeah they dont make it easy.

Basically.

ftp only gives you the epic questline and full content of the starter areas shire/ered luin/bree + lone lands.

VIP gives you access to everything thats not an expansion. Expansions being Mines of Moria/Mirkwood/Rise of Isengard/Riders of Rohan.

There are lots of other things that different between ftp,premium and vip. which I've not gone in to, e.g. ftp has 2 char slots, premium is 3, vip is 5, gold caps etc.. Might be worth checking through here to get more detailed information on the differences.
 
Give it a try as free player, if you find you remotely enjoy it then sub for a month and create/login to all the characters you might want to play as the month of VIP will unlock all their trait slots, gold cap and swift travel access (and you keep them when the sub ends).

If you buy the expansion triple pack, don't buy the heroic edition of Rohan since it comes with 3 quest packs you'd get from the triple pack.
Until it goes back to full price the legendary edition of Rohan is a good deal as it's around £25 for the expansion, 6th bag slot, some random bits and bobs and 2000 turbine points (the points alone are worth around £20)

As for the cash shop itself, LoTRO is one of the better F2P models really. Theres nothing major in the store that you can't get via ingame means if you're willing to put in the time/effort. Vast majority of the store purchases i've made when playing are just to speed things up cause i have no patience :p
 
Hmm, is this a bug. I am only level 3, and on a quest where I have to go inside Skogrims tomb, but when I click on the door it says "this has been used to recently" ?? :/
 
Clicking only opens the door, you have to walk through the portal. (Sounds oddly like a line from The Matrix....)
 
All the various packs quickly become clear once you start playing, best to do that, and get up to level 30 without paying a dime, which you can do easily, then decide if you want to continue on, which will involve spending money to buy some quest packs.

Just started a new char for this after not playing for nearly 3 years. Gave it up before it went over to turbine, it would appear I didn't transfer my account over in time, lost all my characters and thus expansions :(

Nevermind..

Started on Evernight, as a Hobbit - Minstrel
