The Man-Cave

Just a couple of comments

I would have got a few home cinema chairs with built in speakers/rumble pads instead of a sofa. Also not sure how good all the wood is for the acoustics including the floor I would have kitted it out with soundproofing and done a job on the sound ambience and a much bigger main display. I would have made it more of a home cinema experience and hidding the equipment but thats just my personal preference there is too much wood.

Looks more like a lumberjack cave.

I am sure if its to your spec many many hours of enjoyment will be spent in there.

:Cinema Chairs normally have Not so good speakers,
: Acoustics are actually really good
: Screen i'm looking into
: I could still Hide the Equipment, & possibly want to But need to sort out Ventilation :)
: Kind of love the Wood, but maybe a rug of some sorts?

: Security wise, its quite secure (the whole reason) i've not shown you how it has been secured so its more secure. for all you know i have a moat with armoured gaurds :D, you could say its more secure than a house in some respects :)

it does beg the question, with a small kitchen attached and a rented girl friend , why wouldnt anyone need a real house?

Just a big garden and a nice ass shed

update on-suite in the making :)

The bathroom looks like mine, both sink and toilet, Ill need to go check if mine is missing lol.

Looks good, we both have the same taste.

dude - this is an inspiration...can't tell you how many people I've told about this build and showed the pictures...every one of them has been blown away...

Great work and absolutely beautiful.

Quick Network Diagram,
Both Broadband's are online, if one goes down it auto switches to the other without any interruptions. tested this by playing games & disconnecting one no interruption is made.

Just a question regarding the 24-port switch...

Why does the main line to the cabin run into a 24-port switch then all the devices are then connected through an 8-port switch?

I'd imagine so there are smaller switches next to the PC, and the media centre. Rather than running lots of cables to the same demarcation points.

i had the 24 switch already & 8 ports are around the room, this leave expansion.
for future. currently using 18 ports i believe.
