The Manchester United Club Thread **Sponsored by Comedy Central**

Have some doubts about Ratcliffe (Nice fans are furious with his ownership) but honestly I don't see any good options. I might just be done with football if we're bought by oil but the other options is more US people just looking for profit.

As is the case with anything United related, this sale will be linked to every billionaire and their dog as I imagine there'll be a ton of opportunistic investors looking to form consortiums and the likes.

why would apple want to buy another bad apple :p

Despite your hatred Manchester United are the biggest club in the world that can be bought. That is for a team that hasn't won anything in 5 years. City has won 10+ trophies in that time and still has to fiddle its books to even come close to the money United can make.

How long does this sort of thing normally take? Say, Sir Jim puts an offer on the table at 8am tomorrow morning and its accepted. Hours, days, weeks?
Closer to months/years, a lot of moving parts, remember the newcastle takeover? Could be even longer than that.

oh dear

Saudi Arabia says it wants its investors to take over Manchester United and Liverpool – and hopes Cristiano Ronaldo comes to play in its domestic league.

Sports minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal revealed the country's latest sporting ambitions in an interview with Sky News - with the sovereign wealth fund already owning Newcastle and now funding a breakaway golf series.

It is the availability of United - after the Glazers announced plans for a potential sale - and Ronaldo that is interesting Prince Abdulaziz.

No mention/inclusion of Jones on the Spain trip. Incredible. Is he injured again?

He is just stealing a wage now. If I was as lucky as him to be able to play football to a high standard and it wasn't working out for me I would be pushing for a move to Westham or something.

It must be really awkward training with the reserves and seeing first team players face to face.

If he does have a horrible injury why hasn't anyone come out and said anything or meaningful?

His salary is 2.6 million a year. He has played 13 games in nearly 4 seasons. That is 800,000 a game.
