.........after not even paying for the thing in the first place.
it's always baffled me why or how something like that is allowed to happen in the business world. buy something with nothing, then saddle the thing you bought with the debt you incurred to buy that thing.....or something like that. seems a weird business practice.
I think a lot of fans don't want the club to be owned by an Arabic oil state, or an American consortium, which doesn't leave many options...
absolutely - i'd genuinely struggle to support the club if it was bought with oil money. i know there's no such thing as clean money when you're talking sums like will be involved, but the thought of arab oil money turns my stomach. :(

Its because they had enough money/assets/collateral to cover the amount if required. I guess its a little like buying a house. You stump up an amount in the form of a deposit and the bank lend you the rest on the assumption that if you can't pay they will get their money back by taking the asset back.

I really don't want an oil state coming in and buying it. We will just end up being another soulless club like City or god forbid PSG. Unfortunately as others have suggested, there are very few "good" billionaires.

Ultimately whoever comes in won’t be taking money out of the club like the Glazers have done. That instantly makes a big difference to our financial situation. We have been completing financially even with this handicap, without it we will be better off. Ashley wouldn’t invest, the Glazers have been taking money away from investment.

All I want is for an owner who doesn't take £50m+ out of the club every season to service debt. I don't want to be dropping insane money like PSG. I want them to put more money into the stadium and fan facing areas and focus on making us a force on the pitch in the right way again.

We have spent plenty of money over the Glazers era, its just been mostly wasted. Sort that out and we will be fine.

Exactly this it is basically the same as buying an interest only mortgage. You prove you have enough money to buy the house but saddle it with debt, pay the interest then unload it at a later date when it has made thousands in increased value. These guys are just doing it on a much larger scale.

I was brought up different to that but I guess that's why I am a peasant to these guys :P.

Really don't like the look of our team tonight. Don't get the Weghorst buy. Just play Rashford up top on his own ffs. We have enough quality midfielders that it shouldn't be a problem

Prediction for Sunday's line up now we are without Casemiro
DDG
AWB - Varane - Shaw - Malacia
Martinez - Eriksen
Bruno
Antony - Weghorst -Rashford

I reckon Martinez can play that role so long as he doesn't get sent off which, versus Arsenal is a higher chance. Eriksen to be subbed for Fred in second half .

Full disclosure - I'm not a fan of Jesse and this does nothing to persuade me otherwise. TBH he's a poor quality guest for Stephen the CEO compared to many others he's had on.

Malacia is likely to get sent off as well, he seems very... committed...

Surely Martial starts if he's fit?

Whilst incredibly frustrating I have hope Fred can fill in. Most of our remaining big games are towards the middle to end of April with Newcastle the only team in that period as Liverpool are irrelevant now. Lol

Major blow for the Barcelona game however. Mcsauce will need to step up.

Incredibly frustrating but we all know Carroll is a massive tool.

Should be looking to sort out a loan or something today if possible...
I hope so, but suspect we’re going to have to manage with Fred and McT :(

Fred should be ok, but doesn’t have Eriksen’s creativity.

Indeed. We're going to lose the fluidity that we have.

But, we knew this would bite us at some point, injuries are inevitable. We need to invest well in the summer and beyond.

Top 4 and a final or two should be considered a triumph, miracle if we get a cup.

Our squad is just paper thin, can't believe we're going into the second half of the season with 3 midfielders for 2 positions with games every 3 days. One last **** up from the Glazers hopefully.

Eriksen out until late April / early May thanks to that donkey, Andy Carroll. Sigh.

Hes an absolutel scumbag is what he is. The 3 "tackles" he put in were all just **** and nasty.

This could cause us quite a few problems. Fred will have to step up because we ain't getting anyone else in.

I think Fred is more than capable of filling in for Eriksen on current form, particularly with Antony playing more centrally.

McSauce is the worry....
