Amon Amarth! worth it for the intro riff alone!;) Also love the ambience and melody of the song. The windmill, synchronised headbanging at the end is a bit cheesy but hell! if you've got it shake it the **** around!:D

Quite liking the sound of this lot too,not particuarly Metal but good hard rock,Glenn Hughes,Jason Bonham and Joe Bonamassa.

A good friend of mine is in a bvand called Spirytus

They have just released a debut album, titled 'Spirytus'

If you like groove-based metal, check em out!

Their album is available to buy on itunes, etc:)

Whoever recommended to me to check out Irepress, many thanks - a truely eargasmic sounding band. Just received Samus Octology and Sol Eye Sea I and I can't stop listening. :D

That's an interesting song, might check that band out.

I've listened to After the Burial - Rareform 3 times today, awesome album. My favourite song from it, and the band:

Anybody a fan of Kellermensch?

I heard them on Radio1 Rock Show with DPC and think they're worth a listen :)

edit: further research into them has left me thinking their a bit 'hit & miss' with their available songs... and they're not as 'metal' as I thought :(

Anyone else here like metal bands with female leads? I like how the soft voice sort of complements the heavy instruments; any recommendations?

Listening to Nightwish at the moment, and saw a lesser known band, Zocalo, at a gig a few weeks back and they also had a female lead. Also like Lacuna Coil, although I haven't listened to much of their stuff.
