That's all it is to me. No-one has ever been able to convince me to like Emperor, and that's a shame because I want to like them. But no, one minute into any of their songs and I'm bored to death.

I've been searching for good metal with NO SCREAMMIINGG ...YYAAARRRCHHHH AACCKK QQQYUUUUEEEHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

and I've discovered a few bands I've fallen in love with, namely Sonata Arctica (thanks Castor), and Russian Circles.
