The MPG Thread

Golf mk2

25~ hooning
30~ sensible town driving
35~ sensible straight road cruising

Thats, very roughly, what I've worked out so far! Need to take a harder look next time i fill up!

Bearing in mind thats an 18year old car so probably nothing like the figures from the factory :p

I'm currently getting 40MPG in my 1.6 Focus and 55MPG in my 1.4 Festa TDCi. This will drop to 20-25MPG with my new car though.

Focus ST3.

Fuel economy is hideous at the mo, i finally realise why people were complaining about the ST's economy, ive pretty much done all town driving, AC on, and semi flat tyres on the front:p

Round town normally 25mpg
Round town currently 21mpg
Motorway 28-33mpg.

My normalcommute gives me about 28mpg.

Pug 406 2.0 25-30MPG

Volvo 940 2.0SE 22-24MPG

Capri 2.8i 15-18MPG

I'll be throwing another £70 in the Pug in the next 2 days to get me to work and back for another 2 weeks

Ford Mondeo 1.8
25mpg round town (which is what I mostly due as work is only 3.5 miles away!)

Last fill up I had done quite a lot of long journeys on my days off, ended up getting 33mpg.

Current tank I've done mostly motorway drives as I was on holiday, managed to get around 220 miles from full with half a tank left.

Not sure how far I'd get on my bicycle with a gallon of coffee.....

Leon Cupra R
Average around 28-30mpg on commute with a mixture of town and motorway
Get about 35mpg at a steady 70.

I've found fual economy increased a bit after a remap.

Mercedes Benz S430

15-18mpg round town, 24-25mpg motorway

22.2mpg average over the last 2 weeks/2200 miles.
