The MPG Thread

polo gti with remap etc

urban <20
extra-urban sticking to NSL's 35-50 depending on slight inclines/declines etc
full boost with foot planted, around 6.5mpg

think the highest I've averaged on my regular 25 mile commute is around 43-44 (around 2 miles urban (sitting in traffic queues), 11 miles dual carriageway (70mph) and 12 miles A road (60mph)

This is the highest average I have evidence of (after said commute sticking to NSLs, roughly)

look at that dust, I better strip my car back to its chassis and detail every individual part

2.5 Vaux Omega Salon

Misses gets around 28-30 in milton keynes which is quite impressive tbh with all the stupid rounabouts.

I manage to get half that the way I drive!

Got 180 miles out of 65 litres when I went on a track day this weekend and that included driving there and back. Approx 12.5 mpg :D

MR2 mk3 1.8

Probably get about 22 - 30mpg. That's on nice twisty roads with most journeys being about 12 miles through country roads. I do tend to drive a bit hard though...

Mondeo mk3 V6 estate 25 mpg arround town, and 30+ on the run, LPG so MPG doesnt really bother me.

Previous cars:

Ford Fiesta 1.25 -> max 48, min 30, average was about 40

BMW 323i -> max 42, min about 10, average 32

Ford Mondeo 2.0TDCi 130 -> max 76, min about 35, average about 50-55

Scorpio Cosworth, 220bhp 24v V6, Chipped + filter.

23mpg - used for the commute run - 5miles stop start town driving > 10 miles motorway at 70mph (give or take :-) ) > 4 miles stop start town driving and the same on the way home - 200 miles a week. I'm a fairly "swift driver" :-)
