This has arrived

It is very nice being one handed!
 
I know I just got a 770 for my rig but I'm still sorely tempted to sell on the PC and get myself a DSLR. I've got a Canon 550D on loan over the weekend and I'm loving it already.

Are there any recommended online shops for buying gear?

Listen. Watch out for the Ninja. I dont want to put you off but I sue a Ninja2 regularly and I cant stand it. Ive lost key scenes from short films just because, for whatever reason, it just didnt record onto it (even though it did record onto the camera card). Review often.
I guess just make sure you're also recording to the camera's cards as well.

(The ninja experience is multiple ninjas out of a batch of 10 that I work with)

It's a external recorder for DSLRs and action cameras (which you can also attach to drones). Allows you to capture in apple ProRes :D

Is that yours Russian? Very jealous if it is!
 
Looks like the s1000. Not sure on the set up Russian has, but you're looking at around £4k including the gimbal.

Strolled into a camera shop yesterday to see if they had the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G lens for my new D5200. A very strange conversation indeed, he seemed to laugh me down at the thought of even buying the D5200 as my first DSLR and asked was it because it had the word Nikon in it? I explained I had done my research and decided with that but I wanted an additional lens, but at this time I couldn't afford one in the hundreds of pounds. He almost seemed insulted of considering the NIKKOR 35mm, perhaps he had a traumatic experience with Nikon as a child. Any way after more research I bit the bullet and got it, I do not regret it one bit. IQ is amazing and I love the bokeh effect, well worth £128!

bought the exact same lens for my D7000 yesterday. Couldn't afford the dearer Sigma 35mm, very happy with the Nikon so far.

I hate people like that. Even more so if they are supposed to be there to help and sell you something. That's why I just go to John Lewis lol.

Enjoy the lens, it's a corker!
