Well I know nothing about flashes so I'm not sure what I'll be able to do in regards to a review but pics I can do and maybe I can get some details from the manual lol.

So they're properly out now I notice

I will think about chopping in the 622C kit and 622C-TX as well as the YN-568 IIs for 2 of those and the commander in the new year.

How good are the Yongnuos? Was planning on picking up another couple of 600EX-RTs but wondering if I should save myself a wedge and get two of these instead. Don't want them packing up mid-event tho!

Getting it to work with my YN-E3-RT was pretty painless so I can do some off-camera flashy stuff now... But I guess I could have just bought two flashes and had one control the other if I'm understanding this right?

Really have no idea when it comes to flashes lol... I've worked out how to make it go all stroby to give people fits. It seems to help with focusing and I believe it's referred to as modelling flash in the instructions?

It also has funky red laser beams shooting out the front which also help with AF I believe? The trouble is I can't work out how to get those to come on in manual mode and instead they just appear if I use those dirty auto modes

Lots of new options to play with!

I just checked and the Ebay seller I used doesn't have any on at the mo. There's some on ebay for about $250 but there's some at higher prices too which I guess might be due to demand?

I'd imagine stocks are still quite low since they're literally just out of the factories if the guy I spoke to is to be believed. Mine was a pre-order of sorts and I had to wait a few weeks for it to turn up.

Simply couldn't resist. I know it's cost around £20 more buying so early but have placed the order for 2x of the YN600EX-RT and one commander. At least I'll get a portion back selling the 565II and 622c bundle!

Seems fairly well made

get a little case to put it all in, little plastic stand thingy and a little plastic diffuser/cover but you probably get all that with any flash?

lol, £20 more, I got four of the Canons (which costs more then £1k for 4 of these), couldn't wait for the Yongnuo but you can't put a price of the photos you can do with ease with them though.

it would be VERY hard to bounce flash in the Tipi with just 1.

Love the umbrella shot! Was the Speedlite inside the brolly or was one of them holding it behind and pointing upward?

"Expedited free international delivery" apparently, Shipping from China with the ETA 10-20 days. The YN-E3-RT should be here before then as different seller. That has dropped a bit in price, last I looked it was around the £80 mark, got it for £59. Let's see if I can dodge customs a second time round

Eachbuyer has the 600EX listed for $185 by the way but it's listed as out of stock.

Standard for 99% of flashes

Wanted a non-camera looking bag, looked around for ages and settled on this from firm called Wotancraft - something that doesn't shout "expensive camera gear". Needed to only fit body and too lenses. Very impressed! Quality is superb, worn leather feel and got the waterproof insert too.

Money well spent, I think!

Do Yongnuo do a decent smaller flash for CSCs? My EX430II looks a bit silly clamped to the top of my X-E2!
