New lights:-

Also new stands, soft boxes, and a few other accessories.

Looking into Lencarta myself, did you buy a kit off them?

Might as well post an update... not fantastic pics but trying to take pictures at night when you can't really make much noise or light other than a desk lamp isn't easy. Also i couldn't be bothered to set up the A3 Paper/Kitchen Foil/Lamp/Trip lazy man's "studio" thing, so they're on the desk. Whatever :p

And now the phone pics (new rechargeable batteries finally ran out*), and the family of flashes that i have never even figured out how to use, much less been in a situation where i might actually make use of them:

'But if all your cameras are film, what did you take those pictures on?' i hear you ask. Well, maybe not all...

I have a few M42 lenses too, but i kind of completely broke the ST605n so they're on the bench for a while. Thinking about a Spotmatic...

All the Praktica kit i got for free. That's not even all of it. People are great, aren't they ;)

The C5050 i got for something like £40 from the TP forums. And yes, it's main purpose is to take pictures of film gear :D

*speaking of which:

I've been spending a little lately..

Amongst other smaller things like a timer cable release and a new Sandisk CF card(my transcend had corrupt files every now and again!) I bought these:

A superb Canon 10-22 lens. This thing is sharp and fairly well built for a non L.

A Giottos MTL8361B carbon fibre tripod with a Manfrotto 498RC2 Midi ball head. Such a massive improvement from my £15 pile of crap...

I didn't end up buying direct from Lencarta in the end as a cracking second hand deal came up (and its all like new condition, one of the strobes even has the original protection stickers on).
I’ve got the following:-

2* EP300
2* Standard Reflectors
2* Air Cushioned Stands
1* Barn doors and gel kit
1* Wireless trigger set
2* 60cm Standard soft boxes

The last few bits I wouldn’t have bothered with but the price was too good, so what I will do next is replace the standard soft boxes with a couple of pro-folds, probably a 60*90 and a 85 or 120cm Octa box.

The Sigma 30mm is indeed an absolute corker of a lens!!!

You get so much bang for your buck with it!

Congrats on the purchase, that thing is razer sharp too :D

The fastest 35mm focal length lens [Clarkson]in the world[/Clarkson]. The rear element is actually concave, never seen that before on a lens.

I've picked up these lenses over the last month. Haven't used them as much as I'd hoped so far but they're really nice. Favourites are the 2.8/90 and the 1.8/24. I'd love to get the matching 2.8/28 & 2/45 zeiss contax as well, gotta love cheaper older lenses.

That 50L looks sexy!

I was contemplating getting that instead of the Zeiss, but opted for the Zeiss instead.

Take the lens cap off next time, i wanna see the glass :D
