*** The new MacBook/MacBook Pro thread, all info in here ***

bit annoyed people are walking into stores and picking them up while apples most deserving customer ie ME has to wait 2 weeks.

damn should have got off my fat ****

That's odd.

I went into the Plymouth store today, and was told that they didn't offer any discount of the sort.

did you ask them and show them your student campus card?

i just walked into the apple shop and said, you do HE discount? and they said yes and wanted to see my campus card and that was that. i think all apple stores do do HE discount, unless your uni in plymouth isnt in the scheme with that store?

I'll just give the Exeter store a go then.

I'm sceptical about the Plymouth store anyway, it's just inside Drake's Circus and calls itself "Stormfront". I assumed it was an Apple store as it only sells Apple products, and is styled like an Apple shop as well.

[Edit] It's listed on the Apple site as a premium reseller. Odd. Doesn't matter - i'll just pop into the Exeter store and talk to them instead.

Quick question, if I buy the display-port to VGA cable to hook my MBP up to my HDTV, will this enable me to use my MBP/iTunes as a sort of media center to playback TV shows / movies etc you can buy on iTunes?
