The new Orange Android phone (San Francisco) £99...but a Question??

Went to buy one in store today, they sold out just minutes before. I'll have to order one online now, have got a code for £5 off though, 5offPAYGOct so for £104 its not all bad.

Will it be any better than my current x10 mini pro?

Android is a first for me but absolutely love it so far.

Hardest part of unlocking/rooting/flashing was finding Windows7 x64 drivers lol.

hey mate, can you tell me what the name of the clock and battery widgets you're using are? i rather fancy 'em.
 
I'm pretty sure the clock is just called "Digital Clock Widget" and the battery meter is "BattStatt Free"

Shout if you can't find em mate and I'll try to get direct links.
 
Kazz---If you phone them on the free phone number (which I did the other day) say he/she recomended the SF and they had £30 knocked off for being a Loyal customer, any chance you could do that for me please. Worked for me. Payed £80, as that is with a £10 top up.

Silly question here: how do you get the back cover off? Do you just lift it up, starting at the base of the phone? Thats what I've tryed but there's a lot of resistance!

There's a hole at the bottom of the device to get a fingernail or thumbnail in. I find that if I get my fingernail in the hole then move my finger to the left or right it pops one or two of the catches and I can peel away the back from the device.

I ordered mine over the phone yesterday afternoon as follows :-

Salesman 'That'll be £109 please'
Me 'A few people I knew got discount'
Salesman 'You mean the £30 off? No problem, that'll be £79 please.'

Think it's just a case of getting the right person at the right time. :D
 
Can I ask a stupid question, if I unlock my phone does that mean it invalidates my Guarantee? If I then root it and had all the goodies on it, does that invalidate my Guarantee?
 
VillaninRom Team baked the R4 from Modaco Kitchen with A2SD , am giving it a shot, hope a2sd works, as Dark Tremor's a2sd doesnt work with R4 MCR

Edit : Just flahed this rom and it works great and my most desire able thing A2SD is finally working now :D

Whats the speed like? I'm using the 404 r4 rom of Modaco and it seems faster than Paul's r3 rom.

you mean Seb's R4 ? , well i really don't see any difference in Paul's R4 and Seb's R4......its working fine for me

Edit : a noob question , how to add my facebook account for Launcher Pro widget???
