Wondering if anyone could help. I've clockworkmod 2.5.0.9 installed and a put r0.2_update_de_softened_blade_signed.zip rom on, however I'm getting a usim not identified error. I can't load another rom to the microsd card, as I can't mount to pc. Is there any other way to try another rom? I can still get into clockworkmod

EDIT: worked it out: you can mount via clockwork

As far as I can see you get that message if you haven't unlocked the phone beforehand. Do a restore (you did backup before flashing I hope?) unlock the phone, then reflash the ROM.

Lots can do it, but only the names off 2 spring too mind, beautifil widgets which is a paid app if you want a simple toggle on and off switch or Juice Defender which is free if you want something which is automated.

Ah now juice defender i've heard of, 3g watchdog is meant to work with it i believe.

See thing is with this phone being payg, you still use quite a bit of data by just switching it on. So when my free net for the month is up i eat away at my credit of course.

Posted the other day about battery life.

I turned everything off and did not make any calls or play any games.

I got 40 hours out a full charge. The battery has went flat in 40 hours with no use.....Is this normal?

Did you check task manager for running apps?

I installed osmonitor to check cpu usage, everything is definitely off.

With 2.2 R3 with it sat on my side table, 3G is on, 2bar signil its still got 1/2charge after 3days.
Although it is a fresh rom without any apps or gmail account setup yet.

One complaint with this 2.2rom, it desperately needs a different lock screen, just can't stand this one.

after 3 days i'm at 13% charge. that's with loads of sms, a bit of gps (like 30mins), quite a lot of music (1 hour) and some wifi usage. The phone was on 3g mode only for one of those days in an area with no 3g (this drains the battery more quickly)

I'm running the alpha 3 2.2 rom with the default android lock screen

Yeah you're both right, seems it was activated despite my switching it off previously, some program must have had it's dirty way with it.

Now back to figuring out why beautiful widgets don't work.

thats your problem, the stock rom with all the orange junk running.
Get it onto a custom Rom, even the stock 2.1 de-oranged rom would be a massive improvement.
