The New Stargate Universe Thread

"Twin Destinies" was funny in that regard - Rush commenting that if they did go back in time over and over that he could man the ship all by himself / have a decent conversation for once :p

And yea why is it that every time he's introduced in an episode he's checking his notebook / doing calculations or hunched over a console somewhere - the man has serious problems - namely an inability to just step away from time to time!

To be honest, I thought that episode 20 was a good way to finish off the episode, a very obvious "we aren't going to be back next year so lets walk off into the sunset".. beyond that, spoilers and such.. yadda yadda.. sad to see it go really.. oh well, whats next for syfy? more sky-one style programming? such a shame..

Didn't we mostly agree in the first series that they got his character wrong? He's been better this series, but i always thought he would turn out to be completely different to how he is, to the point where i almost get annoyed when he comes out with some of the things he says.

Perhaps it's to do with the American obsession with casting the British actor as the bad guy? And of course the good guy has to have the gun :p

currently just about every post that SyFy put on their facebook wall is getting trampled with people complaining about SGU being canned. Not seen the finale yet but still annoying that there will be no more.

just have to hope that Blood & Chrome is a) good and b) gets ratings.

Yea apart from blood and chrome and possible Falling skies which starts in Mid June the Scifi scene thanks to the syfy channel is in disarray

Leaves it open nicely should any network recomission it in the future.

The ep was good for the most part but the ending made me disappoint because they won't be concluding the story. The series as we know was canned and the film has also been canned due to poor ratings and time constraints. The only way I can see them concluding is via book.

the ratings on the last episode ie the finale were the highest since november in the states so it went out with a bang instead of a pop

Still the writers have said that it's unlikely it'll be resurrected due to the fools who actually liked the **** they made before hurting the franchise because ZOMG there's some depth to the story!

*Prepares for mass flaming from those who actually like the mindless cheese that was SG1 & SGA*

Havn't spoiled it as we've said nothing about the content and the UK already knows it's open ended.

No, no, I wasn’t having a go and saying "zomg spoiler" it was a genuine question as to if the one that aired in the UK (Monday ?) was the last episode.

I'm having a period of time again where no one knows what I mean lol

Might go through and watch the series again from Ep1.

Things might make a little more sense when you know plot devices from further down the line :)

I definitely rate this up there with Atlantis. I found SG-1 a little boring at times.

Oh look, Sanctuary, which was also moved to Mondays recently, has taken a massive ratings hit compared to it's usual Friday high. Does this mean that maybe it was the day, not the show, that caused the massive ratings drop for Universe.

Stupid bloody SyFy!

sad for the end of SG, haven't missed a episode and have loved the whole thing right from the beginning. Seem's like sifi series are few and far between now that they cost so much per episode.
