The Newcastle United Club Thread **No Spoilers**

Man our fixures are still very friendly..

No awful period of back to back hard games.

Free weekend around the Semi Final.

Run in is going to be exciting.

Very quite on the transfer front but that's how Ashworth does the business.

Isak transfer came out of nowhere.

Hopefully we can break him into the team and get his fitness up.

I can see Isak starting on Sunday in place of big Jo, who really should be dropped for at least 1 game

Drink driving isn't daft, its ******* dangerous and we don't take it anywhere near seriously enough.

He won't be dropped though because hes playing well and football clubs care up to the point something actually affects them.

Same as when Zouma kicked that cat. Lessons will have been learned, do better etc etc. Standard ********.

Agreed, it's disgraceful and completely inexcusable.

Man United dropped Rashford for a half just for turning up late to a meeting. I’d expect no less than him being dropped for a match. As said above, it’s not ‘daft’. He literally has no excuse given he could easily afford alternative transport.

Think he's been pimped around all the clubs now trying to get a buyer. Don't think many are jumping at the chance.

One of the issues with the increased player powers is that eventually clubs will basically say "enough is enough" and not deal with players known to be a nightmare.

The way Eddie was talking, I would expect him to be on the bench or dropped from the squad for Sundays game at least

There's been a long list of high profile players that have did it. Some have played a few days later. Some have wrecked cars.

It's a strange one for the club to deal with.

Is it work related? Is he a problem in the training ground?

Hopefully they will take time and educate the whole squad and Academy on the impact of Drink driving can have.

Isn't that what all clubs try to do with their transfers :p

"Do you know what we need more of, old players who are a bit ****"
Dan Burn? Nike Pope? What exactly are you trying to mock? Older players can't add value?

The first thing Eddie over turned from Mike's reign was the refusal to sign players around 30.

Newcastle have never went head to head with elite clubs over youngsters and now we are?

Edit: how could I forget Trippier.

Edit: didn't member's on here mock Casemiro? To old, past it, way to much money?

I think you are taking my post a little too seriously. The headline is suggesting that Newcastles policy of targeting the best young talent from around the world is some sort of transformational strategy. I was simply commenting that every club tries to do that. You usually get players cheaper, on lower salaries and they are far better value.

There was no commentary on buying older players in my 10 or so words. :p
