The **Now Eating** Thread

Pretty tasty dinner. Flank steak sous-vided @ 54C for about two hours then seared in a cast iron pan. Triple-cooked chips (cheated massively - didn't dry/cool properly, pay attention to temperature and overcrowded the pan. They were still awesome though), sautéed asparagus and roasted mushrooms and onion.

Turned out pretty perfect, unlike my potato-cam picture :p

Likewise, made the boy dippy egg and soldiers for tea on Sunday which he wasn't massively impressed with.

Daddy was, made extra marmite soldiers to go with it too. :D

Thanks though. My cooking is pretty variable but the things I've managed to get on top of I'm pretty happy with :)

No picture for tonight but I made a risotto using the Serious Eats method of very little stirring and added tons of extra mushrooms. Pretty damn good and exactly the kind of carb loading I needed after my protein-tastic day.
