Agreed, not sure why they would do this. Does it save money by not publishing / hosting the drivers on their website also?
Maybe the larger picture is to force people into the GeForce Nvidia Experience, some big changes to that eco system coming perhaps.
Latest official and DEV drivers are working great on 980 Ti and GTX 960. Nvidia have got the stability back.

Latest Dev drivers giving great performance / stability on GTX 960. Past few Dev and normal drivers have been spot on tbh.

Had a couple crashes in game with 372.70. Also locked clocks at max.
Gone back to 372.54 and everything is peachy again.

Latest drivers seem to have fixed locked full clock speeds and random crashes. Funny that these issues weren't mentioned in the new driver release, just that it's 'game ready'. That last driver was awful They quickly glossed over that one xD
