**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I wonder if it's some kind of windows conflict this driver stopped working business?

This happening when the cards at stock?

I havent been able to do a windows update since December so it can't be something windows has done. Didn't have any crashes until the driver after 350.86 (I think that's it).

This is GeForce Hot Fix driver version 353.12 that addresses the following issue:

· G-Sync Windowed mode issue

The driver can be found here:

More information about Hotfix drivers:

A GeForce driver is an incredibly complex piece of software, with more lines of code than the entire Windows OS. We have an army of software engineers constantly adding features and fixing bugs. These changes are checked into the main driver branches, which are eventually run through a massive QA process and released.

Since we have so many changes being checked in, we usually try to align driver releases with significant game or product releases. This process has served us pretty well over the years but it has one significant weakness. Sometimes a change that is important to many users might end up sitting and waiting until we are able to release the driver.

The GeForce Hotfix driver is our way to trying to get some of these fixes out to you more quickly. These drivers are basically the same as the previous released version, with a small number of additional targeted fixes. The fixes that make it in are based in part on your feedback in the Driver Feedback threads and partly on how realistic it is for us to quickly address them. These fixes (and many more) will be incorporated into the next official driver release, at which time the Hotfix driver will be taken down.

To be sure, these Hotfix drivers are beta, optional and provided as-is. They are run through a much abbreviated QA process. The sole reason they exist is to get fixes out to you more quickly. The safest option is to wait for the next WHQL certified driver. But we know that many of you are willing to try these out.

These HotFix drivers represent a lot of additional work by our engineering teams, I hope they provide value for you. We’ll try it out and see if people like the idea and want us to continue.

Eh? They are old and have been out for a few days!

They are utter **** drivers, loads of complaints on the guru forums and even I had problems with them.

Seems that they've added the option in the newest drivers to turn vsync on or off while using gsync if the game goes above 144fps, I guess I need to leave vsync on in the global settings for gsync to work in fifa or else it runs at about 200fps and that's why I was seeing microstutter and tearing.

I wondered why I was seeing 200fps+ whilst playing Elite last night !

Normally sits at 144 on my XL2420G , with Gsync on and Vsync off.

So is there a consensus how we should configure it now, in NV CPL and in game ?

It was nice and easy before G on , V off.

Booms too caught up in the AMD Fury X hype to care about nVidia drivers anymore, you can slowly see him turning red again :D

Ha I'm not Green or Red, not interested in all that guff mate. Both company's could do better and the fangirls on either side are very tiresome :D.

Right now Titan X is on top. Interested to see AMD's upcoming cards, hopefully even better performance.

I'm staying well away from that Fiji thread until we get some solid info. Launch is less than 2 weeks, and people acting like a bunch of lady's moaning about this and that haha.

So these drivers are old? Oops I just installed them. Is there anything newer?

Just leave vsync on in the global settings in nVidia control panel.

Apart from what you mentioned, they haven't fixed the "Driver has stopped responding" issues that many are reporting.

Also

Reported by others -
Still getting the exact same issues as before. With G-SYNC Windowed Mode enabled, it's being forced onto programs like Paint.net... Still.

Cheers, I'm getting a weird sort of hanging / freezing when I've got web pages up, using Firefox with Hardware Acceleration turned off. Not had this before, weirdly is happening around since the past few drivers? I just put it down to Firefox but could this be being caused by drivers?

Not getting crashes or lock ups in game but have been booted back to desktop while playing Witcher 3, only once or twice though in long play times..

Maybe this is drivers then?

Yep you got it!

Thankfully I've been online for three hours using GeForce iCafe 352.94 Driver WHQL and have no issues. Won't be going back to the 353.x's any time soon

352.06 didn't last long until crashes in BF started occurring again. I think the last driver that worked well for me pre Keplergate were the ones before GTAV anyone know what version number that is?

edit - nvm 347.88 17.3.2015

Well, they may have had some bad drivers recently, but at least nvidia are actually releasing drivers :)

Now, if only I could find a monitor like the Philips 40 inch with Gsync...

Be interesting to see what w3 looks like without all the flickering and with decent frame rate.

Hopefully won't get annoying flickering in hawken any more.

Yeah and as per my previous post those issues are down to gsync windowed mode with the latest drivers by the looks of it once I disabled that again they haven't occurred since.
