**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Yep you got it!

Thankfully I've been online for three hours using GeForce iCafe 352.94 Driver WHQL and have no issues. Won't be going back to the 353.x's any time soon

The web page freeze / lock up thing is really annoying. Especially when trying to stream.

Going to do a clean install with those iCafe 352.94 and wait for some new drivers that peeps report ok here.

One thing I like about the iCafe drivers is you don't get GeForce Experience and all the other bits that I have no use for.

Problem free web browsing / streaming since going back to 352.94, there's definitely something going on with the 353 Drivers.

Are those the ones that supposed to fix 7XX series performance issues? Maybe they broke 9XX in the process lol. Will wait for 354 :)

I have no idea, however I do know that for me, 352 made my GPU run at 100% causing stutter in GTA V

353 Caused driver crashes whilst using chrome + 100% usage on GTA V

Back onto 350 and no issue at all. GPU sitting at 70 - 80 on GTA V, 60 FPS and no further driver crashes.. (my other issue has gone away now as well but that was there before 350)

Happy with 350 and see no reason to move on.

I know that is not an option for many with newer games.

I just had 2 crashes on the desktop today within 20 seconds of booting up my comp!

This 353.xx series is the worst driver set I've ever used. I have never had issues like this before, ever. I often read threads about people having problems with drivers and think it must be user error or people being daft, but now I know how it feels.

What are Nvidia playing at? Why have not released a fix for this yet?

**** poor show from NVidia with so many people having problems with this branch. I hope they quickly sort it and give customers what they deserve.

Nvidia has no competition. What do they care about...... AMD!? lol Driver support is going to go downhill unless we see another GPU maker take over AMD's job, which by the way their failing miserably at.

New drivers crashing in all games for me now, none with browsers tho. Bak to 347.88 the last decent/stable driver. Really want to get off nvidis cards now, drivers have been shoddy at best since i got this 970 at launch.Tw3 crashes all the time just given up on it now.

Just shows neither side are perfect and I certainly won't be using drivers as a reason for not switching between brands.

I'll very likely be going AMD myself with their new top end card as long as it delivers the promise of being the worlds fastest GPU.

Brill so those Icafe drivers working good?

I'm staying with those

Changed back to the 353.06 drivers and so far no crashes in chrome. I turned off hardware acceleration in chrome and checked that the PCI slot had max power not adaptive. My install was to put the 350.12 drivers in then use the Geforce update to go to the 353.06 and I turned off all my other programs during install.

So far its been stable but it could yet go as I haven't trialled it for that long.

For those getting driver crashes from the last few new drivers in web browsing etc, just uninstall them first from 'programs and features' first and then install them again - ie do a completely clean install and do not just let the Nvidia installer update/overwrite them.

When i did this everything was fine again.

The audio in videos recorded with Shadowplay seems to have intermittent stutter, I tried other software like Action Mirillis and it doesn't happen so hopefully Nvidia address this soon.

Action Mirillis, No audio stutter -

Shadowplay, Audio stutter every 5 or so seconds -
