**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

I'd like to know y? I can under stand last 3 drivers maybe but 289. Seriously?

i have done the same in the past.. Its nice to have access to the original downloads if your diagnosing an issue. Its depositories like these that makes it easier to investigate stuff like the "kepler nerf" to see if there is any truth to the matter.

I just started keeping them just in case then I liked the idea of keeping them for my children's children's children

nice inheritance.

Just noticed it says 364.51 (BETA) on the main driver search (Win 10 64 bit) . Is this there get out of jail card ? Did it always say (BETA) or used to say WHQL ? Glad I've not updated mine for a revision or so.

Not first time an nvidia driver has reportedly caused a card to malfunction. (seem to recall a fan speed issue couple of years ago)

I've only very briefly read into it but could these new drivers be the cause of the temperature rise of my card whilst playing The Division?

The card has rarely ever went above 65C even when playing The Witcher 3 with everything cranked up but it's now hovering around the mid-70's in The Division, which doesn't appear to be anywhere near as demanding as TW3.

I didn't play The Division with an older driver so I can't really compare the difference.

I have noticed how my GPU is constantly working at 99% in The Division so I would expect a few others to agree that their GPU is warmer than normal. I even noticed it in the open and closed Beta and those were on previous drivers. Great game as well.

Glad it's not just me then!

Agreed, fantastic game!

Yup, my two cards are pegged at 83 degrees constantly in the game. Although I run in 100% maxed out at 1440p, and it's its been a blast.

Only other game that made them work this hard was the Witcher 3 maxed. I'm back using the Division beta drivers( 361.85 ) though; as the latest ones were hard locking my system.

Ah, so it is a good game then?

I played about in the beta but found that there wasnt enough meat in it to tell me whether it was going to be any good. It ran quite well n all, but I was more concerned that it had a real world feel and plenty to do in it. A good atmosphere, meaty content and story, if you will.

Have you got a review up yet Greg?

I may have a butchers at a few reviews and then make up my mind. Havent seen many about though considering it was released yesterday.
:D
