**THE NVIDIA DRIVERS THREAD**

Not sure what the issue is there TBH dude? 400mb in this day and age is nothing unless you are using a 3G pay as you go dongle :p

The thing that bothers me is that I have to download several hundred mb of crap that I don't need or want so that I can just install the actual driver and Physx driver. It would be much better if there were seperate downloads but we can't have that can we as that would allow us a choice and they don't like us having choices these days.

Changes and Fixed Issues in Version 385.28
The following sections list the important changes and the most common issues resolved
in this version. This list is only a subset of the total number of changes made in this
driver version. The NVIDIA bug number is provided for reference.
***61557; [GeForce GTX 1070][Doom]: The GPU clocks remain running at high performance
speeds after exiting from the game. [
1954033]
***61557; [GeForce Experience]: “Any file is missing" error message appears when installing
new drivers updated from GFE. [200306774]
***61557; [Call of Duty Infinite Warfare]: Performance drop occurs with updated driver.
[1955894]
***61557; [SLI][Intel X299]: Low GPU usage resulting in poor performance occurs with the X299.
[200331424]
***61557; [GeForce MX150][Xiaomi TM1604 notebook]: There is no driver support for this
product. [1963863]

At long last.

Will test this fix later.

Yep, working now, clocks drop back to 139.

How long does it take you to download 400MB? Besides, I guarantee it if that happened somebody would be whining the stuff is missing.

Some people can think for themselves and actually figure out what they need to download. Why should it matter how long it takes to download 400mb+? The point is that splitting it up Into seperate drivers or the full package giving people a choice of what they want to download is the right thing to do. Why are people so eager to accept everything that is forced on them these days? Someone comments that they don't want to download a 400mb+ driver as they only install the driver itself plus the phsyx driver and you get people making negative comments about their suggestion. If people didn't accept everything as it is then we may not be in this situation where everything is forced on us.

Great to see you still rocking the X58 chipset, what a legendary socket that is.

On topic I really don't have an issue with file size of drivers, but I don't feel the pain usually because my internet is OK.
I'm also usually not that type of person who thinks they're entitled to anything and everything so just roll with it and stress less

Why do we never see any 'magical' performance drivers from Nvidia like we do with AMD?

I'm obviously over generalizing as we do once in a blue moon get something from Nvidia but it seems to be a theme with AMD GPU's.

I can only assume that out of the box on day one Nvidia have already optimized/squeezed out a good deal of what's on offer. I don't actually know, though. :D

So go send them an email with your obvious dissatisfaction. Besides, why are you whining now because it has been this way for years...

Anyway, eager to accept everything? For starters I use GeForce Experience for recording so why would I be upset for downloading 400MB?

You would think though that AMD have been working on Vega drivers for at least a year. And yet they always seem to come out with big performance drivers at least once a year. This doesn't seem to be a theme with Nvidia. They only come out with a performance driver if the competition are showing them up. Which was the case recently with their 'DX12 performance driver' a few months back.
